"I hear voices," one of the guards muttered, taking a look from his vantage point, "There seems to be a small group holding out near the elevator. I'd say five or so members."

"Let's go take a look then," Ripley said as she led a few guards closer to the group at the elevator. "Hey!" she called out to them, making sure that her group was known now instead of possibly being shot at later.

"Did you hear that, I think there's survivors down there!" Dimir said exited, without even thinking he called out to them "Hello!? Hello!?, Is anyone down there? Are you all o.k.?" He yelled.

"Yeah let's go." Sal said moving towards the stair way. "We're a group of survivors, we've been holding out here for a while now. We're coming up." She said motioning for the others to follow.

We already wrote in that we came down the stairs, we are directly around the corner from your position. You could see us, I'll try and work with it though to save time.

Jaroth came out around from the corner. They were up a small flight of stairs compared to the survivors, they lead from the elevator up to the multiple corridors of halls that contained rooms and smaller restaurants. He looked down and say they were under equipped. He began walking down the stairs with the guards following.

"No need, need to retreat to Deck 5 and escape. Backup escape pods should have been left, do not have much time now, Geth probably not far behind. Need weapons?" Jaroth told the small group they had met as he took a pistol from a guard and tossed it to Santius. The guard had long ago scavenged a Geth shotgun. All the guards had scavenged weapons after about the third wave. They still had thermal clips, but the Geth's weapons were better than the guards standard pistols.

"Alright. Quickest way to Deck 5?" Ripley asked a guard.

"Elevator is the quickest, probably not safest. Stairway is next quickest. We could also head down each deck's main hallway and take the shorter stairs down. Longer though," he replied, fumbling with his weapon nervously.

"Gotcha. Well I guess it's up for a vote now."

Going to bed now. Night.

Okay assuming that we're all together now.

"I vote we just get down as quickly and as safely as possible." Sal said looking around watching for geth.

"The escape pods on Deck Five are the most likely to be either launched or guarded right now. They are still some of the most accessible escape pods on the ship, no? That makes them the least secure for us. I say we head further down. One of the guards mentioned earlier the escape pods in the cargo bay, and I say those would be the best. The geth will be in further decreasing numbers the further down in the ship we go, and those ones are the most likely to still be active and here."

"Agree that cargo bay is probably for best. Should stick to auxiliary stairways however. Most people would have used elevators and main hallways to escape, death traps now. May need to fight in halls, but far easier than fighting in tight stairwells." Jaroth said as he checked the way back.

"Whatever we do, can we do it quickly? I mean, there are things trying to shoot at us."

Illo then noticed he'd not introduced himself to the new-comers.

"Illo Kyrik. Nice to meet you.", he said, once again, holding out his hand.

Val turned and looked at the guards.

"If we have security with us, we can access the employee areas. I'm certain those would be the least occupied. It's likely there are stairwells or elevators to access in there also."

"You're right, the employee sections have their own stairwells that would be safer than any of the other options. Only problem is that it will take us a bit longer to get to the cargo bay since they're on opposite sides of the ship," the guard said in response to Val.

"I think that is the best solution out of them," Ripley said, anxious to continue moving and get off this ship.

Might not be on too much today, lots of little chores around the house to do.

Val loaded a new thermal clip into his pistol.

"Then we move now, hard and fast. We have to keep moving. If we get stuck in a firefight with the Geth, we're going to have half of the ones occupying the ship coming down on us." Val pointed at the guard carrying a shotgun. "You'll lead the way to the stairwell, we'll give you support. Move out."

I have an idea that doesn't necessarily kill him, should he decide to come back we don't have to raise the dead. He can always have the Turian cabal call him back or he can always have a problem with some family requiring him to leave. Oh, and I probably won't be on much today.

Jaroth decided to walk next to the guard that had been designated to lead. He knew the guards didn't have the training for this, and wasn't about to leave the men out in front open to attack. They began to move through the hallway with Jaroth and the security guard leading.

Okay slight bump and confirmation. Kal'Reegar is the prime example of Quarain badassery, right next to Tali of course.

I've been waiting for someone to respond to what's happened. If no one does in the next while I'll GM the next scene or something myself just to get some action going.

I've responded, you can just respond to that. I was figuring we may want a few posts for people who are unarmed to say maybe they get a weapon and start moving, but apparently nobody wishes to do so. So I figure just do a little GM saying you start moving and I can take over, cause I hate two in character posts in a row.

Hell, it's what I've been waiting for also. Is anyone else even still playing?

Val slid to the back of the group as they started moving. He'd trust the guard to take them the right direction, but he wanted to make sure that they weren't being followed. Moving in a group as large as this seemed suicidal to him. It would draw too much attention. It was the only way he'd make it through though, and he knew it. He was glad he was at least able to slip into his armor beforehand. He knew some would drop after a real fight started. It didn't matter if they were armed, a shotgun blast, or a few rounds from an assault rifle would gut them.

They continued, with Val checking his shoulder periodically and frequently, as he wished he had his rifles with him.

I was ready to declare it dead today, so no idea.

Jaroth moved with the lead group as the made their way towards the security door. As the group moved through the hall sounds were building up from both sides. It was obvious the Geth would be converging on them in no time. The door leading to the lower decks was visible as the Geth opened fire on them, a few guards falling in the ambush. The rest took cover near corners as they fired back. Jaroth shouted to the group in the back.

"Get to the door, will hold them and move towards position once the door is open!"

Ripley fired on a few geths after throwing a shockwave, eliminating some of the threat. She then charged over to the door and took care of the geth that were firing from their, allowing a few guards to run on over and help from that position.

Yeah, I think this sucker might not make it much longer. I'm kinda done with it, but who knows?
