Val quickly ran across the hall, bending over, and staying low, grabbed the shotgun from the dead guard, and took position on the corner behind the door. He quickly checked the ammo, loaded in armor-piercing rounds, and fired a couple shots off at the closest Geth, blowing off one of its arms.

"Lock the door up! If we secure it, we can slow the Geth behind us for a minute!"

As soon as the door opened, Jaroth immediately ordered the guards through it, following closely behind. He had the guard close the door and seal it before Jaroth destroyed the console. He made his way downstairs to the third floor.

Val holstered the shotgun, and started running down the hall.

"Hurry up! The door won't hold them too long!"

Sal rushed for the door, firing her pistol at the geth as she ran. "Bosh'tets I'm tired of fighting these things. we need to get down to the cargo hold now." Sal said as she rushed down to the third floor.
I would post more but dammit ME2 is fun and I can't put it down.

Jaroth made it outside of the doorway leading to the third floor. The coast was clear and he motioned for all the others in the group to run. After they all ran past him he turned and moved as quickly as possible backwards while facing the door that was behind the group.

"Need to move as quickly as possible. Dangerous to remain long, Geth resistance should be light now, only need to race time."

Illo sprinted forward with the others. He wasn't entirely sure what their plan was, but he knew that sticking with the large group of gun-totting mercenaries was probably fair game.

"So, the plan right now is running? Or am I missing something?"

Yeah, I think this sucker might not make it much longer. I'm kinda done with it, but who knows?

So, any other GM's making plans to quit?
I still think you're a good choice of GM for this. You seem dedicated to it at least.

"Plan is to get to the cargo bay, get what weapons we can find there, and use the escape pods to get out! Not the best plan, but it's the only option we really have right now!" Val yelled as he continued running, checking his shoulder to see if the Geth had gotten through yet.

I think we may just have to say rocks fall and kill everyone at this point, this saddens me.

Dimir ran trough the Geth infested rooms with his comrades "How far away is the cargo bay?" He asked frantically to everyone.

That's actually a good question. How far away from it are we? And if far, can we just skip to it so we can move on to a new setting to try and get some more activity out of this?

Alright, I'm out. I can't take this BS anymore. You're all complaining that nothing exciting is happening, well then make it exciting. It isn't up to the GM's to make things exciting for you, it is your job to post and make it exciting. When you don't post because you think it is boring, you know what happens? It gets fucking boring because no one posts. Everyone just wants to get to the action so the action no longer has context, the characters no longer have backgrounds. You're all just a bunch of action stars shouting one liners waiting for the next thing to blow up. Shit, Four people were able to make a damned exciting RP because everyone posted and all the posts moved the plot forward or gave motivation. By the way, if nobody posts, we can't move the fucking plot forward, we may as well just write you all a damned story and just do away with having to check multiple times a day to see if you all posted one fucking sentence so we can move on to the next part.

Snip the wrath of blaze!
Yeah I'm done with this too. I agree with everything blaze said (of course we discussed this before actually posting). So, yeah.

Within the next week or so my new roleplay is starting, so keep a look out for that!

It is good to see your self-esteem is so high ninja, but no. It was directed at multiple people, yourself was included, but you are by no means the main person I was indirectly speaking to. Thank you for playing, you will get a very lovely consolation prize on your way out of the RP. To all RPers, please remember to spade and or neuter your pets to help control the pet population. I'm Blaze96, and have a good evening.

Fine, with Blaze's outburst and bridge burning aside, I'm interested in continueing a Mass Effect RP in some way, shape, or form. If any of you guys are interested in continueing an ME RP, message me. I'll start something up if we can get a little interest.

I'm actually not pissed with you in the slightest Ted, you had every reason to be anxious. You actually attempted to move things along, as did ninja, it makes more sense after the explanation on his part though. Though to you ninja, you don't need to write them, just post saying you take part, give an order, say you ran somewhere, killed an enemy, etc. That's all you really need to do and someone else will move the overall battle forward, just post to take part. So, two strikes down, one to go, figure out who it is I am most pissed with. Good luck America, we'll see you next time on:

Alright Blaze, sorry, but the way you worded it made me take some offence to it.

Like I said, if anyone is interested, I'll try to revive this thing in a different form if people want. It can work well I think, Mass Effect gives you a world universe of opportunities and stories to explore. Only problem is it would have to start after next week since I'm on vacation, but that'll leave a good time for planning and everything. Hell, I've GMed a fair amount in the past, and forum RPing seems more simple to GM then table-top or HL2, so I feel I can take a good shot at this.

No worries, I can see how you would come to that conclusion. Just so long as you realize I held absolutely zero ill will towards you, good luck with your RP by the way. I'll be working on Tsa's, in fact have to finish that opening story outline this weekend, sorry random train of thought that just got typed. Anyone else notice there are more posts now than during the combat? Sad that.

Ya, well, the thing is, combat is one of the most boring things to RP, and the hardest without strict guidance. Especially in a forum RP. Having to try and interact quickly with other people's actions in it, and do your own, makes it hard to not God Mod or end quickly. In the words of an Admiral "It's a trap!". Besides, most of the fun stuff comes in interaction between characters, and little of that can happen when you have Geth firing at you.

I get that, and this was Captain's idea, not mine. Me and Tsa both were trying to move it as quickly as possible, as we both got trapped on level 1 fighting Geth in a hallway. It doesn't help however to have nobody posting because there is "no action", we can't get to what people want unless the boring slog is gotten through, and that is easier if people post. We can't just stop in the middle of a hallway to get to know one another. It makes no sense, so we needed to run, and it didn't help to have the worst offender bitching about what was or wasn't happening while sitting on their ass and doing nothing. *hint hint at who I hate. It isn't you or ninja, so take a guess* I'm fine with declaring her dead however, sad it was so well before her time.

That's why I asked if you wanted me to GM the next bit. I was essentially going to hit the skip button and go directly to the cargo bay quickly so it could be soon finished and then we could get off the ship and into a more free flowing environment. This ship was WAY to big.
