Hell, that's what I'm trying to do right now, salvage what we can. It doesn't seem fair to have such a good concept die so quickly. At least not without fighting for it.

I will admit I feel bad about my post's I know I didn't contribute much to the story. And for that I'm sorry. I will say this before I turn my back on this rp for good. Timezones can suck it! Every time I came on I found that everything that I could think of to do had already been done. Sorry for that rant. So farewell Dawn Breakers. We hardly knew ye.

Don't worry, in the week I'm gone I'll think of a good setting/story for this. I'm always fond of the Merc theme because it has a lot of options though. It'll probably be either Omega, or continueing with Illium. We could do it on the Citadel though also. Just somewhere more urban and not a ship.

Not mad at you either sage.Fine by my book, perfectly legitimate reasons again. Guess you will never find out, just know that they are an American and had plenty of opportunity to post. They also had a rather communist diatribe on the ship.

Yes, very much so. The posts were largely pointless, he couldn't tell a biologist from a biochemist, and he left a trail of plot holes so vast that had there been any more I would have had an aneurysm. I'm a major stickler for plot and his experiments pissed me off to no end, they didn't reveal much if anything about the character, and they fucked with the entire universe of Mass Effect. To say that Illium was going to die as a planet in X amount of time bugs me, it bugs me so much. We don't know what kind of star they had or the hydrogen content, so I had a small meltdown when I read that. The flies were also utterly pointless Deus ex Machina, which I am guilty of but still hate with a passion. I only use it in the most dire of straits. But what pissed me off was the line "well I wasn't posting because there was no action", that has to be the worst sentence I have ever heard. At that point you may as well kill your character because he basically just said. "I will only post if and when I deem it worthy, and I want to be apart of all the best sequences while not putting in any real effort when it slows down." That sentiment is extremely arrogant on his part in my not so humble opinion.

Ya so I know I said I wasn't going to post for a while, but seeing as how everything is going down in flames I figured I might as well throw in my two cents.

If you guy's want to keep at this then I suggest just stopping the Flashback section now, it's obviosly not working, and move onto a new thing, like Santius's revenge.

But that seems unlikely as it looks like you guys are going to start a New RP which is actually cool with me. I realized now the Dawn Breakers was kind of my thing, and besides a few vague mentions to Tsa, no one really knows what I had planed for it. That being said, a new RP is definitely the best choice if you want to keep going because then whoever GM's it can have his or her own plots and what not. That being said, if your are going to do that THEN LET ME SAY THIS: reserved. And whenever I come out of my self imposed isolation I expect my name to be at the top of the reserve list, if it is not then I will make a dark pact with one of the Cyber-Demons of the Nether-Web in blood. And they shall take out my bloody electronic vengence, and change all of you avatars to seven year old unfunny MEMES! MWUHAHAHAHA!!! Also take a look at the reserved list on this thread, those people will also be interested in a ME RP. Also feel free to use anything from this thread if you want (I can't really imagine what that would be though).

Well, I think that's all then, see you whenever I come out of my tent. /Illiad Reference

Well, if people will allow me to run it I will. Hell, I'm a GM at my school's RP Club and aren't running a game at the moment, so I have time for it, and I've been RPing for years. First form of forum RPing, but it's not to different from table top, just less mechanics and rules. I also have a week off that I'm going to have realatively little to do, so I have a good amount of time to plan.

If people are interested, I am more then willing to start something, and by some of the responses I'm getting, I'm almost certainly going to start after my return.

You guys do realise if you'd have put all the effort you're putting to ripping each others throats out, we'd probally have finished this part of the storyline already.

If you're all really that anal about this chapter, do a damn timeskip. Or make someone do a sum-up post. There's no need to stop this RP just because you're all getting a bit angsty with each other.

Pick a new GM. If need be, put it to a vote. I still think tellmeimaninja is the best choice. He's dedicated, and he can RP. That's all we need. There's no need to go making a new RP when this one is still salvageable.

Oo--- Do we even need to bother with this part anymore? said:
We're really not ripping at each other, but I think it's pretty well dead, and a continual replacement of GM's isn't the best idea. Sometimes it is just better to hit reset, and start from square one. While characters and such can be salvaged, I think DawnBreakers isn't.

I think it could be pretty easy to save this. Easy enough that, as I said, we wouldn't need to restart anything.

We've hit one problem. It's not a big one. It's not a difficult one. There are numerous ways to fix this.

And if we don't need to change GM's so much, well, the last person could always stick with it instead of going through with quitting.

Well, like I said, if you are interested, I'm more then willing to run it, hell I'd be quite happy to! I've already started working on some characters for it as well.

Only question if you want to play is where do you want it set? I feel it'd be best to do it in either Omega or Illium, just because we could get away with a few more things there then the Citadel or something.

Alright, so that's 4 votes for Omega. Sage, Ninja, Pat, and me. If anyone has a problem with it, speak out tomorrow so I can read it before I leave. Otherwise this shall be the plan.

This Saturday - I leave for Florida
Sunday-Friday - In Florida, I'll plan/create the story and setting
Next Saturday - I get back, set up RP

So far I have basic concepts for the leader planned out, and have created a few side characters. I'll plan the first few missions while I'm gone, and try to create our command tomorrow.

Any questions, message me.

Alright guys, have been working on the RP a fair bit, but have hit a small snag. I forgot to ask how you want to play this. I'm unlikely to have a chance to read the response until I return (currently sitting in an Internet Cafe near my hotel) but please respond by then.

The question is...

What type of missions do you want? What I mean is do you want this played in shorter segments of gameplay, in the sense of shorter missions, and therefore more time between them to do things like character developement and interaction, or do you want longer missions tht focus more on the troubles at hand then the events in between.

The decision you make will effect how I run this and even the first mission that will be played.

See ya'll Saturday most likely then.

Looks like something I did a while ago: http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/362.153129-Government-Heroes-A-Marvel-Style-RP-Finished?page=1

I didn't organise it too well if I'm honest. Loads of people applied though, crazy amounts.
