The Death of Productivity: Hearthstone is Now Available on Smartphones

The official Hearthstone smartphone app is out now for iPhones and Android phones.

Bosses around the world have long-dreaded this day, but it has finally come. You can now play tablet version of the game [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/tag/view/hearthstone], this new mobile version is designed specifically for smartphones, taking into consideration their smaller screens.

Check out the new, phone-specific interface below:

"We're excited to welcome mobile gamers to the Hearthstone community," said Blizzard CEO Mike Morhaime. "Hearthstone's quick, super-accessible gameplay is perfect for gaming on the go, and with the mobile versions it's incredibly easy to jump into a match and have some fun."

The mobile version of Hearthstone comes with all of the same features and content as the Windows and Mac versions, and players can simply log into their accounts to sync their collections across. Just like with the tablet version, if you log in on your phone and play one game in any mode (play, arena, or practice), you'll be rewarded with a free classic card pack.

To download it, simply head over to the Apple App store [https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.blizzard.wtcg.hearthstone&hl=en].

I think they could have reworked the battle screen better to give the board more visual room, if you're playing hearthstone you don't REALLY need to see a big picture of the opponents hero or power, stow that shit in the corner and give the board some breathing room, I guarantee matches would benefit from not having too many "fat finger" moments.

off topic: wtf captcha, 9/10 times I keep getting fucking asked if I speak spanish, FUCK OFF, THIS IS AMERICA, DAMMIT.

I just got it. So far its very well done and as someone with fat fingers, it hasn't been an issue yet. It did take a little getting used to but all in all I think it works pretty well.

I imagine that most matches will go like thus: . . .Tries to summon Lord Jarraxas Eredar Lord of the Burning Legion, accidentally summons wisp instead.

Works just fine even on my now older Galaxy 3, I'm impressed. Spent a decent amount of time procrastinating earlier today at wo... *ahem* home playing it just to see how well it could perform on a phone and the answer is pretty well. I had no trouble with clicking the wrong thing and everything ran nice and smoothly save for the occasional hiccup while loading between matches.

Works pretty well on my iPhone 6, actually faster than on my old iPad 2

As for the interface, it's actually better than the iPad, and MUCH harder to accidentally select the wrong card.

You're in luck, wisp costs no mana so you can try again!

OT: I'm hesitant to try it after the buggy mess that the android tablet app was, but it could be another nice time waster phone app.

I've stayed away from this game so far, but since I've been looking for something new to play on my phone I guess I'll give it a try.

I'm kind of grateful that it isn't available on windows phones: I don't really need that thing waving its pay to win mentality in my face. I get that enough as it is from that game on my ipad.

Nope, no it isn't. The internet is not America. Even if it were, 418million people speak Spanish in America (since apparently you aren't even aware that America refers to the continent [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Americas]).

Oh great, now I get to awkwardly yell at Ragnaros while in public.

In all seriousness though, this game has always seemed to me like it would be perfect as an on the go game.
