....See Bethesda..the problem with this is the World ...of Warcraft if you excuse the terrible description has always been slightly cartoonish, parody-ish and referential to more serious lots of take on 'High fantasy'. They can make a card game and have it be kind of expected that that's something the denizens of Azeroth would likely do in a pub, drunk as fuck on a Saturday night. Giving it context and connectivity to the millions already living and playing in their virtual world.

ELDER SCROLLS IS USUALLY PLAYED (Pretty) STRAIGHT. At least in the context of the world and not the players breaking shit with the mechanics and world glitches.

This is so visually jarring that I think you're going to shoot yourselves in the foot with attaching 'Elder scrolls' to this. Why not just make a whole new franchise for the 'obligatory card game-a-thon' you're putting out?

This is so...off.

Bethesda's E3 conference as convinced me that they officially ran out of ideas and are just ripping off everyone now - mostly Blizzard.

>MMORPG on their main series? Check.
>Card game based on their main series? Check.
>Team-based shooter with an aesthetic style obviously influenced by TF2? Check.
>Digital platform to host their games from? Check.
>Voiced RPG protagonist and dialogue wheel of stock responses? Check.

I can't wait for their next game announcements:
>A MOBA with characters from all their games.
>An RTS series.

I am not sure I care for the wording "an answer" to Hearthstone. Sounds as if Hearthstone is something that needed to be dealt with.

Not so much dealt with as taking a piece of the pie, quick google search didn't yield any specific numbers but based on what shows up it's a pretty safe bet they made over 100 million for 2014. I feel like Bethesda is just way too late to the table though, much like with ESO.

For fuck's sake, I really wish developers were more creative with their game titles and subtitles.

I saw Elder Scrolls Legends and thought "Hell yeah! We got Battlespire and Redguard back in the day; wonder what sort of spin-off Bethesda has up their sleeves this time!"

Also, being completely real about it, I just don't think Elder Scrolls has enough of a cast of characters to pull this off. Even the major characters from each game are almost entirely forgettable. Because the game isn't really about them, the games aren't even about the main quest (since it's only like 10% of the whole game), the Elder Scrolls games are about you just going around, doing whatever the hell you want.

And, to go back to a point I've said before. Don't try to out-WoW WoW. You aren't going to win that one.

hey bethesda, remember that time you tried to beat Blizzard at MMOs and it went down like a lead balloon filled with molten lead, landed on a newborn baby, and caused permanent disfigurement?

why are you now trying to beat them at card games? have you learned NOTHING?

Hey Bethesda how about providing an answer to the question "When the hell is Elders Scrolls 6 going to get developed?"
