The Elder Scrolls Online is Adding a Dark Brotherhood DLC

The next add-on to The Elder Scrolls Online will invite you to join the Dark Brotherhood, and embrace your inner assassin.

Bethesda has announced the next DLC add-on for The Elder Scrolls Online. Titled Dark Brotherhood, it will have you join the Dark Brotherhood and become an assassin-for-hire. You'll head to Tamriel's Gold Coast, where you'll get to visit the cities of Anvil and Kvatch (familiar to all you Oblivion fans out there). The DLC will also include new story content and quests that will send you back to various areas around Tamriel, as well as repeatable contract quests. The Dark Brotherhood ties will be evident, as you'll gain a new passive skill line, as well as new costumes and item sets.

As with other TESO DLC updates, there will be a patch to the base game that accompanies the Dark Brotherhood DLC. That patch will include Poison-Making, item locking, updates to the Crown Store, performance improvements, and more.

You can check out all the inclusions and information in this announcement post over on the official Bethesda site [https://bethesda.net/#en/events/game/first-look-at-dark-brotherhood/2016/04/20/106]. No word yet on when the DLC will be released, or what it will cost, but we do know that it will be free to ESO Plus members.

Welllll...more of a glance, really, but I'm interested to see how they model Kvatch. It's supposed to have the only arena outside the Imperial city, though I don't know when it was built.

I'm a little worried about the removal of Veteran Ranks. Will it go back to Level 50 or will it be changed to Level 65? And how does this effect my Veteran Ranked Items?

Glad to see this game is still getting attention, as I thought it kind of died. I want to pick it up eventually and play with my friend, but I'm waiting for it to go down a bit more--and I need to finish some other games. But seeing that they're still putting out DLC makes me glad.

I've been expecting this since, well, NPCs in towns became targetable for murder and picpocketing. Then there's the whole legedermain skillset, and the thieves guild recently. Dark brotherhood was simply the next step. It will be nice to see a version of Kvatch pre-Oblivion. All we ever get in that game is a smoking ruin with a daedric portal at its entrance. I hope to see more of Skyrim in future DLCs. Solitude and Whiterun would make some cool additions to the game.

I never played this game on launch. I heard it was terrible.

I saw it on sale a couple of months ago for $15. So I decided to try it. It is the first MMO I paid subscription it was that good compared to everything else. You actually use your mouse to fight in this game instead of pressing a bunch of number, which I find boring in all others I've played. There are 60 to 100 players in each major town I go to. So it not dead yet. I heard PvP died but I don't care about that.

I've heard it's dramatically improve but I have no proof, so take this with a grain of salt
