I'll check that; I swear I only updated it a few weeks ago.

Check your accesses as well, most browsers will lock out Java on their highest security settings.

Downloading v6.11 now; had to do it manually. Odds are that I had a pop-up for it about two weeks ago when I turned the computer on rather than leaving it in hibernate, but I must have just ignored it. Well, let's hope this works, as I'm rather looking forward to the puzzle.

It's the Jade Empire and FFX ones that are killing me. I'm yet to play Jade Empire and all the FF I played after IX, I dislike immensely.
Does it save your progress if you want to come back to it later?

It's correct -- that is the character's name in the U.S. version of the game.

Btw, i'm in the UK, and my manual says 'Wanda' for that bloke. Still, good game... Also, as a Brit, i'd like to request that less US State abbreviations appear in the crossword, i had to go dust off my atlas to get those...

dunno bout the fish tho, heehee, talk about bad-movie references...

Nope, it's not you. The good news is, the puzzle no longer gives you the "Congratulations!" pop up even when you've filled in something incorrectly. The bad news is, it doesn't do it even if you've gotten everything right, either.

I like these new crosswords. It makes me feel smart to finish most of them. I usually can't do normal crosswords very well.
