[HEADING=2]The Escapist Members Community Thread[/HEADING]

Inspired by the official Escapist community map, available here [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.62448] I thought it might be a good idea if we as a community made our own map and put the threads we've made/enjoyed as a community in to the map, to give newer members and even older ones a point of reference which allows them to access all of the major threads which have been popular or integral to the Escapist community in one easy location.

To achieve this, I'm going to need community input into what threads they think deserve to be one here, what threads have meant a lot to the members of this community and should be linked using this thread as a hub.

The following threads have been grouped under headings for clarity,

[HEADING=2]Other Information[/HEADING]

So please feel free to add suggestions you think should be a part of this community thread, as I'm sure I've missed many examples which would be fantastic to be here. If possible please also provide a link because the search button can be hard to use at times.

I've also added descriptions of what the thread is next to each one. If anyone would like me to change what that message is, please let me know and I shall do so.

In conjunction with what Wilsonscrazybed said below, if you would like your thread added to the official Escapist Community Map please let one of the moderators know and they might be able to arrange it for you. If not, please bookmark this thread and use that as your browsing point, it's really a matter of personal opinion which one you would like to use.

[HEADING=1]Necro Thread Suggestions[/HEADING]
Thanks to Berethond for this idea.

The lastest suggestion is to introduce a section for the necroing of threads, threads which crop up often (ie favorite movie, what instrument do you play etc) which rather than creating a new repeat thread should just be necroed. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Also, thanks to Megapenguix for suggesting another idea of what Genre wars threads to add to this, once again I'm open to ideas from the community, so please let me know and I'll put some of the more important Genre Wars threads up.

Thankyou to all the members of this site who contribute to this thread.
[HEADING=1]Thanks and Awards[/HEADING]
The Self-Plug award goes to Labyrinth, with 2 so far.
Thanks to Wilsonscrazybed for allowing his 'Ask the Internet' Threads to be used.
Thanks to Megapenguix and Boofus Teefus their numerous thread suggestions.
Special Thanks to Lord Krunk for digging up a lot of these threads, Daye.04 for his continued support of this thread, Zombie Fish for taking up some of his time to make up a whole list of new threads during my absense and Diagonal Horizontality for continuous thread suggestions and being an amazing help in general. Everything other members have done to support this thread has my gratitude, and I thank you guys for it.

Did I double post? The stupid internet at my parents place lags a bit.

I've thought of another, Nivags Badges thread. Hold on while I find it...

It has to be commented on hourly, and a mod might have to pin it up. Most of the new members are just bouncing from thread to thread like I do.

Yes it would, up it goes. I might add a little info bit next to them telling people what each thread is about.

If it gains enough momentum and people take notice of it it might inspire the mods to post it up officially. People have to get behind this sort of thing for it to truly work.

I suppose you could try PMing a Mod to try to get them to pin it, they seem pretty freindly overall. It'd be up to you to keep it updated, or so I think. (its too late, I cant think straight).

I'm positive the mods will become aware of it without me pressing them to get it pinned up... I leave it up to them though. I'm more than happy to keep updating this thread but this is the sort of thing we need that little bit of official backing to make it work. I'm still a little hesitant to ask the mods for help with it... but I'm sure they'll notice it anyway.
