The Escapist videos won't play

Whenever I try to watch any video on the site, I get the usual ad that plays then a weird Escapist specific ad, and then the video I wanted to watch never plays. This has been happening for a few months now. I have not changed my set up in anyway. This happens on both Chrome and Firefox. I also do not have adblock or noscript running. This has been very frustrating as I love the videos on the site but getting nothing but ads sucks hard.

Does this happen to anyone else? And if so, how does one go about fixing this issue? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I really don`t know how fix this but here occur the same problem. If you discovery how fix it please tell me.

It happened before to other people apparently The Linux box at our locations did something that made the Escapist servers ID us as a bot/crawler. As bots/crawlers don't need to watch videos, and generally are just checking the kind of content on the page, they get served a placeholder video. http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/538.859572-Escapist-videos-not-playing#21340719

I'm getting the same problem since a week ago. Looks like a fix requires site staff assistance.
