If you haven't been listening to Fat Pixels Radio, you should be. It's one of the best produced gaming podcasts out there, and if you're reading The Escapist Lounge, I guarantee you'll like their topics and approach.

Their latest podcast is a panel discussion on Games Journalism with Sam Kennedy of 1up.com, Vic Lucas of G4TV, Dan Morris of PC Gamer, Matt Williamson of The Gamer's Quarter, and our very own Julianne Greer of The Escapist. Check it out here [http://media.libsyn.com/media/fatpixelsradio/05_FPRP_Episode_5_fixed.mp3].

Notice what the guy was saying about Prince of Persia near the beginning, how he eventaully got frustrated with Two Thrones? Hearing that makes me thing I'm right about what people want with challenge.

Getting back to games journalism, I think this magazine could do well to incorporate a critical essay on contemporary games at least on a bi-monthly basis. I think the essays on Torment and Alpha Centuari were amazing, and I know "A Fine Fantasy" is the most popular thing I've written for this magazine. I think Shadow of the Collosus and Psychonauts could both have used a crucial bit of print to examine their nuances.

This recording gives me ideas for how I'm going to run that scratchware autuers thing.

I really have nothing to say here other than that this was some excellent commentary. I haven't paid attention to Pat Pixels Radio, but I think I'll start to. Hopefully there'll be more stuff like this, because this was some of the most entertaining discussion I've heard in quite some time.

Alright, back to Grandia III.
