For me, it was some sort of Jurrasic Park movie-tie in. The game came on a floppy-disk and ran on Windows 3.1

Round a friends house I played Jet Set Willy. I was mezmerised!
First games I owned and played was Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles for my NES, quickly followed by Super Mario Brothers when I realised Turtles was too hard :)

Lunar Lander on a VAX via dumb terminal, during an open house at Dad's plant. Years later, one of my homework assignments in Comp. Sci. was to write Lunar Lander for the Commodore PET.

Either that or coin-op Space Invaders when it first arrived, between the doors at the local K-Mart.

Are we talking legitimate games here or those pseudo-interactive things? Because if its the later, "Putt-Putt Saves the Zoo" certainly takes the top of the list.

I feel so ashamed.

My first real game was Descent. No shame with that one, only a regret that its too old for modern computers.

Wow I feel old. Some sort of Atari 2600 game whose name has been lost to the mists of time. It had...spaceships?

First game was Micro Machines on the Mega drive, on my uncle's ginormous wide screen tv. Everything from there on has been downhill.

This weird little maze game on the Macintosh Classic. It would've been about 1988. You had to run through this maze (you were a horse) and collect keys to unlock doors.

First handheld was Tetris on my father's first-gen Gameboy.

First console was most likely Super Mario Brothers on the NES.
