Whatever, just wash your hands.
Do you remember the first game you beat? Without cheats?

I'm trying to remember which one I beat first, I would say it would have to be either Metroid or Legend of Zelda. Probably Legend of Zelda since I'm not sure if I beat Metroid without the Justin Baily password back in the day. And really I'm just assuming Zelda was my first game since I know I beat it back in the day and I can't remember an earlier nes game I beat. I guess it could have been Contra, but again, used the Konami code to beat it.

I wanna say Star Fox 64, that was one of the earliest titles we had for our system and I took to it very quickly, even if I could barely hold the controller at the time

World of Illusion on Mega Drive, mostly because it's just a really easy game. Pretty sure the second one was Sonic 2

I definitely remember that most of the games I first played didn't have an ending, the levels just looped round infinitely until eventually you stopped or lost (e.g. Snake & Pacman clones, etc.).

Otherwise, we're talking mid-80s, and I don't remember. I did complete some text adventure, strategy and action games, but I'd have no hope of remembering which was the first.

Probably Super Mario World because you can take the Star Road directly to Bowser's Castle. If that doesn't count then Donkey Kong Country with my dad is likely. By myself, maybe Super Mario RPG or Kirby 64. It's a really hard question, I remember a lot of the games I played as a child and I know I've beaten many of them multiple times, but the very first one is impossible to say at this point. Hmm, it might have also been Tom and Jerry for the Sega Gamegear.

This is really going back. Like, possibly something on Colecovision (Zaxxon, Montezuma’s Revenge, River Raid, Donkey Kong Jr., etc.) If not, then probably the original Zelda on NES.

I think Goof Troop, unless using level passwords counts as cheating.

Lion King, but I always used the BARRY code to select a level or turn invul on. I never actually beat the waterfall stage.

I definitely played Super Mario World before but it was a while before I actually finished it and like Drathnoxis says, Star Road shortcut.

Ah, that was a very easy game. (Also pretty cool) My Sister had an N64 at the time, i beat the game while babysitting my nephew one night, when i was... 15 or so?

Hm. Let's see. First game i beat? I was never a completionist, and many of the old games where designed to be too hard (arcades) or "never ending" or "casual". Hm, should be on my Game Boy or C64, i think (Got access to a PC in 1993, i think). I had a Karate-Based LCD-Game before that, but that just got faster until you couldn't keep up anymore.

Hm, can't remember it, but i would say: The first game i completed, which had a clear story and was memorable might be "Mystic Quest" - originally ("Seiken Densetsu" or "Final Fantasy Adventure" depending on where you are. Still remember kicking the first bosses' ass- Mr. Lee, the Vampire. And killing the final boss with not the final blade, but the one before, because i forgot to switch weapons, hehe. That would be in 1991... But i was gaming a year before that, clearly i would have completed something else before...

The first games i played didn't have an ending, only highscores.

But the first that did have an ending that i reached was some kind of CGA-graphics game where you flew a biplane and had to shoot down two enemy biplanes and destroy 3 bases. A very rudimentary game.

Found it with googling. It was called Sopwith.

I played this all the time at my high school friend's house. I only remember him beating it once, and then the plane flies off into the sunset.
