Now this is the kind of strip I like. If the characters aren't going to move that much, just have a set of one-panel gags based on a common theme. And that was some good word-play with "driver".

It looks like an FFN comic, but the forum isn't full of bile about the amount of words, the art style, or the subject. Have I fallen through a portal into an alternate dimension, and is there a way I can live here forever?

Nah it's just that it's now the future, and it has brought us interesting conversations instead.

I laughed harder than I was expecting with that "Driver" wordplay...

Other than that, I'm sure we'll all be "flimpin' the diode" by the time a Driver crashes from surfing too long...

Like, jointly? So, there's always a twist, and it's always an explosion?

You got it!
Sometimes they shake it up by having a twisty explosion.
Their version of the theory of everything was amazing.
The big bang was bigger than you can imagine and in the end it turned out a ghost did it.

You can enjoy this new future world, but you will need to register your email, credit card info, be prepared to wait 3 or 4 hours for things to download Day 1 patches, and spend all your money on stripped out content sold back as DLC. The future is now.

I remember someone saying that we are living currently in an empathic version of a cheesy '80s cyberpunk future dystopia. Remembering how the '80s were, I say he's kinda right. Now if you excuse me, I think my robotic sweeper just got stuck under the couch again...

Oh god, the day we have to have our car connected wirelessly to a network so the always-online DRM doesn't lock up the brakes may be coming sooner than we believe. And as horrifying as that sounds, it sounds like "I had to download the latest driver" sounds like it will make a fucking brilliant excuse for turning up to work late...

This is a real god damn catch 22 if I ever saw one...
