So I got bored today and decided to see if any of my fellow Escapists wanted to participate in something that I'm calling "The Oblivion Challenge".

What this is; is a challenge to see who is really the best Oblivion player.

You have to complete the main storyline, be at least level 20, have at least 15,000 gold, and have closed at least 20 oblivion gates.

1. You can't use cheats, hacks, mods, console commands, exploits or glitches to reach this goal.

2. You can't use DLC or game expansions to reach this goal either, it has to be from the vanilla version of the game. If you have GOTY or mods, then just don't use them, simple as that, right?

3. You must do all of this on the max difficulty setting (this might be changed later on, though. Max difficulty is pretty ridiculous, at least from my experience).

4. You can't have more than 2 magic skills when creating your character (to avoid ridiculous power leveling).

5. If you can manage to kill Umbra early on in the game, then you can use her weapons and armor if you like.

I probably won't be participating in this as I wanted to give you all a chance at winning I seem to have lost my copy of Oblivion.

The challenge will start either tomorrow or Wednesday. Comment below if you have questions and concerns. Or herpes.

PM me if you want to take part in this GLORIOUS EVENT!

1st place will get bragging rights and the title of "Ayleid King" or something to that effect.

2nd place gets slightly fewer bragging rights and no title.

3rd place gets genital warts nothing.

Everbody else cries.

Then you should have no problem winning the challenge. If people want to do it, that is.

EDIT: Also, you have to do this with a completely new character, and I'm thinking that the timeframe for this is going to be a week or so.

I shall make another edit to address my editing failure. That was an epic editing failure.

No offence, I love oblivion but doing it all again after investing 125+ hours in it already? I just would be bored out of my mind, plus there is no fun when you know how to do everything the fastest way and if I am not allowed to use level up exploits (unfortunately I have it on PS3 and it was only after doing everything I learnt about the exploits...) :p

I'd give it a go, but I'm off on holiday in a few days and I'm shit at Oblivion, so I won't have time. Maybe if you do a Fallout 3 one in a couple of weeks.

Understandable. For me however, that game never gets old. 300+ hours in and I'm still finding ways to have fun with it.

That actually doesn't sound like a bad idea. If this one doesn't catch on, or if I feel like doing another one, I might try that.

Alright I do like the idea, save for the Expert difficulty. I usually play on normal as that is my idea of fun, as for the rest of it, I like it, I think I could use my build for that
