The lengths someone went to for one Killer Instinct achievement

This is awesome. [https://www.polygon.com/platform/amp/2019/7/11/18657194/killer-instinct-ready-to-body-achievement-steam-pc]

Case in point: Persistence pays off.

What?s sad is the negligence, indifference and in some cases retaliation shown by the parties he contacted for a fix. At least the whole thing has some light shed on it now. Idk whether to scream ?ULLTRAAA COMMBOOOO!!? or ?C-C-C-C-COMMBO BREAKER!!?

In any case I?m kinda curious about actually playing the latest KI (my other favorite fighter besides MK) now that I know it?s on Steam.

Awesome, except the part where he barked to the wrong tree for a month and became the Steam mods' daily headache unnecessarily. Ask anyone who has worked in retail and they'll probably call his "civil disobedience campaign" a pretty unflattering name. That jerk should had heed his co-worked and made the complaint to the Better Business Bureau from the beginning.

Is the moral of the story that Andy Dufresne got framed for his wife's murder, beaten, raped, and abused but crawled through 500 yards of shit and came out clean the other end?

When you phrase it that way, the comparison sounds pretty silly.

Wow, that is...a bit much. The Brothers In Arms: Hell's Highway thing where you couldn't 100% all the achievements for a year would've probably made his head explode in pure nerd rage.

I'm of two minds. It's cool he got them to listen but the subject is so insignificant and he wasted so much time that I question his priorities.

The takeaway here is mainly that KI isn't receiving proper support.

Pretty much this, time is the most valuable resource and you should waste as little of it as possible.

...holy crap, has the guy actually looked out his window over the past year? This is what he considers an "injustice"?

That?s the problem for sure. Also it doesn?t even support any controllers besides Xbox variants. The only game on Steam I?ve ever had that problem with, although it?s also probably the only Microsoft Game Studios game I?ve bought since Gears 1 on disc. Ridiculous to need to use some chicken wire and duct tape work around in this stage in the industry; really is like being back in the 90?s. Meanwhile MK11 has plug n play DS4 support and runs like a top.

Anyways, my refund is being processed.

I read the thread title and thought it was going to be about some feat of gameplay endurance or skill; had no idea it was someone ardently sticking to their principles; well done, guy; I respect your tenacity.

That said, I hope everything else in his life is as buttoned up as he expects his achievements to be, because this is ridiculous. I love my achievements too, but calling the BBB over a single glitched one?? Let it GO, dude!

Ironically, calling the BBB was far more effective than spamming the Steam forums for a month.
