Anything that's rarely talked about, highly unusual, or just plain weird - obscure! There are but two rules: It has to be a series - no standalone titles, and Obscure can't be your choice, because then you're just being a wise ass. Any questions...? Good. Go! I choose King's Field, a From Software RPG series that came before Demon's Souls and has been massively polarising in its appeal. For one thing, it's in first person. For another, your character's top speed is a slow shuffle. It began on the PSone, and has since had sequels on the PS2 and even the PSP.

I'll take your King's Field and raise you an Invert Inc, a puzzle platformer where you collect keys to open the exit by inverting the level giving you access to different layers of the level.

By obscure do you mean name a long running Japanese game series that isn't quite popular enough in the west to always be localised?

I'll say A-Train by Artdink.

It's probably silly, but the first game I thought of was ObsCure: The Aftermath. Which is obscure for good reason: it really really sucks.

Trajectiles by Q-games. Do I win?
There are no winners in a thread about obscure computer games, only losers.
I see what you did there .

OT: Series eh? This is a toughie . I'll go with the fantastic adventures of Dizzy .

Custom Robo.

It was somewhat popular in Japan but it did not get any love in the west. I thought the GameCube and the DS games were solid.

None of my friends or anyone I know played them

Another Nintendo franchise that did not get the love it deserved.

Anyone ever heard of a little indie game: And Yet It Moves? Pretty cool, but I doubt it's as popular as Braid or Limbo or other indie games.
There's also Timesplitters, which I discovered recently, but never played.

Hugo's House of Horrors. It's one of those old type in commands for the player to do kinda thing. Sorta like Zork, but with actual graphics.

EDIT: Also, Shadowgate.

Betrayal at Krondor.

Though, that's not a series.

Ah yes, that was a good one too. Never managed to finish the first one, but did the rest. *grumbles* That damn snake in Whodunit...
