Asking Alexandria. Famous for their hairstyles, not their music. Possibly the most generic and shitty hardcore band I've ever heard, yet 12 year old scene queens incessantly buy the garbage they have to offer.

I think one of the funniest things you could see on the internet is watching people say The Beatles are over rated, then watching them praise the 50 bands they like - that wouldn't exist were it not for The Beatles. Hehe.

People, without The Beatles music wouldn't of evolved past Elvis Presley. I agree, there is plenty of better music out there than lots of The Beatles stuff, but The Beatles were so damn innovative. They pretty much invented the "norm" of most music today. They were amazing - whether or not you like their music.

Anyway, I don't think there is a such a thing as "over rated". Just because you don't like a band that a million people do doesn't make the band over rated. That's quite strange logic lots of us are using there.

Blink-182.

It's annoying how popular they are. Plus the drummer is average and I want to rip the vocal chords out of the lead singer. Plus they just sing about poppy crap.
I Hate You. I could stand here all day and explain why blink-182 is the greatest band (IMO) of all time. but you have you're opinion and you are entitled to it like the rest of us...

anyway, I would have to say U2 because Bono is a douche.
Okay you are calling a Bono a douche? He may have an annoying face and personality but he does so much to help unfortunate people (at least that is what I have heard)

I personally have never heard a single U2 song, but what you say is completely irrelevant to why U2 is overrated. Because someone in the band is an alleged douche means that the entire band is overrated (Overrated: Given an undue amount of credit for quality or merit in a field; not necessarily related to popularity) Maybe elaborate a little to why U2 is overrated, otherwise it seems like you don't understand what overrated means.
U2 is a douche band. there now bono isnt taking all the credit for the douchery. they are overrated because people like them despite the doucheyness.

Michael Jackson, Lady Gaga, Madonna, Usher, most country music, Nickleback, Creed, most electronica music, Muse, just to name a few. I'm a huge music fan and love all types of music but certain bands, music genres, or artists just don't do anything for me.

I've always found Metallica bland and boring, and early Black Sabbath, while they can be credited with essentially inventing heavy metal, weren't particularly good, especially Ozzy's vocals. They didn't really get good until the Dio years, and later Tony Martin.

Obligatory Beatles mention. As far as I can tell, they were just a bunch of hippies with nice, sweet, boring songs.

I'm gonna say Guns and Roses. I find them completely uninteresting, and the only time I ever liked one of their songs, it was being covered by someone else.

This is mostly to do with the fact that one of my local radio stations played them every ten minutes while the DJs went 'Ohhh god will they ever get back together I LOVE THEM SO MUCH'
