From sony: killzone3, infamous2, LBP2?, motorstorm3! and Resistance3, (uncharted 3 i can hope!!) heaveny sword 2, ps3 version of syphon filter!! Square enix announced kingdom hearts 3 for ps3.

from MS: Gears 3, and thats all i can think for 360!?
He said original. The only original game on there is LBP. Saying Killzone 2 is Original is like saying Halo 3 was original. Saying motor storm is original is like saying any racing game this generation is original. Infamous is kinda original though.
my bad, thaught he just meant sequel that would be announce next year! killzone 2 is kinda original IMO, a first person cover system that works sort'a!

Don't forget the possibility of a TES:V!
Unlikely. Bethesda announced they have no plans for another TES. Play Morrowind anyway, I can assure you it'll be better than TES 5.

I think they could go somewhere with a Prototype sequel, considering how much story they have with all of the web of intrigue targets and what not.
Elizabeth green had that baby which is supposedly the "perfect" form of the virus

OT: Borderlands 2? We can only hope.

You know, I'd kinda' like to see what a PS3 or X-Box can do with everybody's favorite looney vehicle combat franchise, Twisted Metal. Twisted Metal, which has always been a mix of the funny and deadly serious, should have another walk in the video game park.
Another one is in development.

For the PS3.

(It's always been Sony exclusive.)

I'm eager for a Borderlands sequel, an InFamous sequel, and I'd probably play a Prototype sequel even though I wasn't the biggest fan of the first one and it's convoluted story. The gameplay was enough to forgive any faults I found in other areas of the game.

Atleast to the 5th page.

Okay, so, 2009 is almost over, and many original video games have been brought a sequel, more specifically, the second one.
Games have been released, like Assassins Creed 2, Modern Warfare 2, and Left 4 Dead 2. And others have been announced, like Bioshock 2 and Mass Effect 2.
So, Escapists, what do you think the next sequel for an original* game is?

*The term "original" is used rather loosely...
Diablo III methinks.

I'd happily support a borderlands sequel, if they would bother to fix the first frigging game...

No More Heroes 2, Mass Effect 3, Dragon Age 2, Gears 3, Uncharted 3, and InFamous 2.

I honestly thought Killzone 2 was a terrible game. I loved KZ:Liberation for the PSP, but KZ2 was good for the first 20 minutes, until you got over the great graphics. Then I decided that after thinking it was awesome for 20 minutes, that it was bad, so I honestly could care less about KZ3.

Did you play the PC version?
I've heard the horror stories of the PC version. I played it on the 360 so none of that effected me personally, but I do hope they do something about the PC build for those who bought that version. They deserve the same fun I had on my playthroughs of the game.

There were definately some things I'd change, but for the most part I didn't have many issues. Certainly nothing that would make me call it "broken".

I own both the Ps3 and PC version (i like the game THAT much and hoped the PC version might be better, which is in in some respects.), which much to my luck are the two most proken versions of the game. The ps3 version works fine gameplay wise, but the mic interface is fucked, and the PC version has trouble connecting to other servers as well as a whole bunch of glitches that just break the game.
Gearbox are apparently trying to fix them but goddamnit they're slow. I say they focus on the first game being fixed before even talking of a sequel...

I really hope they don't make an inFamous or dragon age sequel. They should just leave two brilliant games as is.
Bioware already have a massive wide-selling saga on their hands (Mass Effect) and inFamous... well I liked how the ending was just left open, and I don't want them to make a game where Cole fights the "Nemesis". Two great games don't get me wrong, but I don't think they need sequels.

Damn, I'm sorry to hear that. The game is great and it's a real bite in the ass that these technical issues are leaving gamers with a bad taste in their mouths from botched coding or whatever the cause is. I hope they get it fixed ASAP.

So do I as owning both versions is like owning two different games. They play so differently, I'm happy owning them both, I just wish that they could be bothered to fix the issues rather than oferring "quick fix" alternatives that are ultimately quite useless.

It's an older game but I'd like to have a sequel to Vagrant Story. Maybe not an actual sequel but a game with the same type of setting and gameplay mechanics.

I own the PC version of Borderlands as well. The game is fun but it's a bit of a mess. Some people complain about L4D's lobby system, but Borderlands is far worse. I ended up playing a large portion of the game on single player. Why did they use Gamespy? Instead of working on DLC (which ended up being late on the PC) they should work on the connectivity issues and other bugs. Hopefully Gearbox will at least fix some of the issues before the second DLC releases.

I agree with you on Gearbox needing to fix the issues before they make a sequel and I agree that Vagrant Story deserves a sequel, but it won't happen. Square made Vagrant Story, Squenix would just fuck it up. Also the ending for VG didn't really leave much room for a sequel imo.
