[HEADING=3]The Pomegranate Phone; This Is How You Advertise![/HEADING]
Meet the Pomegranate Phone at www.pomegranatephone.com! This amazing new phone can perhaps rival the mighty IPhone or IPod Touch! Coming with all the standard features you'd expect with a phone but with some nifty new features! How does a harmonica sound? Or maybe a coffee maker is more to your liking! All this and more is available in this wonderful masterpiece!

You're probably wondering, "What's the catch, Dkozza?". Well here it is. The Pomegranate Phone is just a marketing scheme for 'Nova Scotia' and their advertising campaign called 'Come To Life'. So this amazing new phone is not real, sadly. The $300,000 marketing campaign spent on this marvel worked however, fooling over 1 million visitors from 201 countries since its launch on September 30, 2008.

This innovative new way to advertise may be the only way used in the future. Imagine seeing an advertisement for a new game console perhaps. It seems so perfect, so divine, until you realize that it's all a fake and just an advertisements for pillowcases.

Can we expect to see other advertisements of this kind? Also, have you seen the Pomegranate before or a campaign of its kind?

I've never cared about fancy phones, but if someone made up fake games to sell something else i would hate their guts for getting me all hyped over a fake game/console/testicle enlargement pump/whatever.

But i guess it's nothing new, only difference from today is, that theres lots of advertising if you're looking for free stuff that doesn't exist when you look closer

If I'd come across that on my own, and the teaser ad was for something I'd be interested in (though I kind of dig the harmonica), I'd be so pissed that I'd make it a point not to buy the product that was advertised.

Am I the only one who thinks that style of a phone would be mega awesome?
But yeah, I would kinda expect it, you know, the whole 'too-good-to-be-true' piece of pie.
Pisses me off all the time
Its why I don't eat pie.

How the hell is that supposed to advertise anything?
That's exactly the point.
simply all it has to do is grab your attention and stay in you're imagination. You associate said phone with said company in the hope that when you next see a cool phone you'll think "Nova Scotia"

This reminds me why I chose to own the Wasp T12, its a phone with built in mixing decks and an extra large number 5 as its the most commonly used number

Its well weapon

What is the advertising campaign "Come to Life" about, as that could help give away a connection between the fake phone and the campaign. Otherwise, it just makes no sense.

oh, forget it. It doesn't seem worth it to make one of these or create a marketing campaign for it.
