The Portal 2 E3 Demo Will Give You a Headache

The writing as ever is fantastic.
The new mechanics look simple enough and yet phenomenally versitile.

I think ill go play portal now, damn you valve.

The first Portal game was surprisingly easy for me. Within minutes I had a near instinctive knowledge of how to operate the Portal Gun.

I guess the major part of my success is that it's a visual experience, I've never done well comperhending math or text on a drawing board. Giving it a three-dimensional appearance? Now that's another story.

Without really thinking I just knew where to place portals in order to advance through the test chamber, it all felt so natural to me.

Well, I just watched the first due to wanting to play this kind of game spoiler free-ish, and it seems good, I guess.
Wasn't a major fan of the first, but this could be fun.

I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure all these instances are made specifically to demo the game, and not taken from the game proper. Search online to clarify.

Also, Escapist: can we get rid of the pop-up APB ads now that the game's been trashed in reviews?

It looks like it's going to be another great game. The thing about portal 1 was it was very simple when you got your head around the physics because it's such an abnormality.

Now this looks like it will be more complicated but again I am sure once you get your head around it, it will be very simple but fun game.
I also think Valve should keep there eyes on this development team because they are bloody good at making games

OT: I think it looks great! Though I'm not sure about the gels, they just don't really seem to fit in with the game, but I suppose that's just a brief example.

And I hope they change Wheatley's voice actor, the accent is alright but it just sounds like he's speaking into a microphone, it's not robotic.

I'm glad valve revealed that its only a placeholder Voice acting so they had something in time for E3

I think Wheatley may go on to become Valve's new Most Popular Character, although as expected it sounds like GlaDOS is going to give him some serious competition. Truly did Valve claim that Portal was merely a proof-of-concept test and Portal 2 will be a whole game. This could quite plausibly go on to be recognised as the Greatest Game Of All Time, as well as Valve's greatest triumph.

I really liked the voice acting of wheatley in the first video, whats with all the hate?

I think the fact that it wasn't always perfect voice work and sometimes the delivery was a bit off made it more intriguing and in the context of the setting of the game made sense, definitely a great character who will give us a lot of laughs, also its nice to see a British guy voicing a character who isn't the villain.
