The Price of Hearthstone Packs is Going up in Europe

The price of card packs in both Euros and British pounds is increasing across the board for European Hearthstone players.

I've got some bad news for European Hearthstone players today: the real money price for purchasing additional card packs will increase across the board due to what Blizzard calls a fluctuation in "local and regional market conditions". The change affects packs bought in both Euros and British pounds, and will take effect on March 22, 2017. Here are the new prices:

2 Packs
Was €2.69 (1.99GBP) now €2.99 (2.99GBP)

7 Packs
Was €8.99 (6.99GBP) now €9.99 (8.99GBP)

15 Packs
Was €17.99 (13.99GBP) now €19.99 (16.99GBP)

40 Packs
Was €44.99 (34.99GBP) now €49.99 (44.99GBP)

60 Packs
Was €62.99 (47.99GBP) now €69.99 (59.99GBP)

Adventure Wing
Was €5.99 (4.99GBP) now €6.99 (6.99GBP)

Arena Ticket
Was €1.49 (1.49GBP) now €1.99 (1.99GBP)

"We'd like to let everyone know that we'll soon be adjusting the pricing of Hearthstone purchases made through the PC, Mac and Android clients, and through the Battle.net Shop. We regularly look at our pricing around the world, and from time to time we make changes such as these to align with local and regional market conditions," wrote Blizzard in a Blog post [https://eu.battle.net/forums/en/hearthstone/topic/17615113897].

The price of the Journey to Un'Goro [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/tag/view/journey%20to%20ungoro?os=journey+to+ungoro] prelaunch bundle offer will not be affected by this change and will remain the same until launch.

Hahahaahahaha. Fuck off, Blizzard.

Im sorry, but there is no bearing behind this other than being a little more money grubbing.

Wow, just wow.
Team 5 should just go bankrupt at this point. They can't do a single positive thing as it seems.

To be fair, the value of the pound has crashed.

Well, there is also that thing where the GBP's value was cut in half.

To be fair my country doesn't use neither the Euro nor the Pound but they increased the price the same as in those regions that use those currencies. Also it doesn't change the fact that people are paying more and have every damn right to be mad that a already overpriced game is getting more expensive. Also some of those affected countries have currencies which have risen a lot in the last few years but for them the game got expensive as well.

They are just using the pound and the euro as an excuse and when those two rise again, they certainly won't lower the price to adjust to the new exchange rate. No, they will just increase the USD prices.

Not to mention that besides the development cost there is no use of resources or production process since these cards can be duplicated ad infinitum, so no additional costs for blizzard that would warrant increasing the price for their "cards". They simply decided that their stuff should be more expensive for absolutely no reason besides "gib more money"
