I just have to comment here, because I am THE ONLY PERSON I KNOW to have ever gotten "the talk."

I am also tremendously naïve, so that might have something to do with how I missed what sex was up until Middle School. >3>

My parents waited until too late. I'd already done pretty much everything normal couples do by the time they thought to have the talk, and even some things many normal couples don't do. Curious/kinky high school friends of the opposite sex ftw, I guess.

I don't ever really recall receiving "the talk" at any point. We got one about "bad" words and what they mean. Shit ton of good that did.

I think my folks pretty much figured we were going to learn about it sooner or later during our probation in junior high. It's a mandatory thing anyway once you get into high school here. So I guess they figured "why bother."
