Okey, aside from Wasps (got some nasty stings as a child, including in the eyelid once), the weirdly specific one I have is dead spiders.

Not spiders in general, just dead ones. Sure, I'll jump if a spider comes out of nowhere, but I'm not overly frightened of them... but a dead spider WILL freak me out and make my skin crawl.

Whenever I see sharks on tv or in pictures or anything, I have to pick my feet up off the ground. Cause you know....the sharks might get my feet if I don't....

That's fair enough but it wouldn't fit the clinical definition of a phobia. I know I'm being kind of a stickler about this point but I imagine that people with genuine phobias would be a bit pissed off with people flippantly claiming that they have an arachnophobia because spiders' legs freak them out a bit.
I would think many of the people here would be able to discern that they do not actually have clinical fears or ones that cause them great physical and/or emotional harms and sympathize for those that do. I would also assume that a person actually suffering from these genuine fears would realize the common use/dictionary definition of this word and not take too much offense at this thread or what people have said here. If they do, it's understandable, but I will just state that this was made with the intention of people sharing a bit about themselves with a subject matter I rarely see in forums. I suppose I could change the OP to fears if that is better.

I would point out a phobia doesn't have to be entirely irrational, only disproportionate to the perceived threat that the cause of the anxiety poses. Snakes, heights, the dark, fear of any of these things, to name but a few, has a rational, logical basis but can nevertheless constitute a phobia in extreme cases. For illustrative purposes lets use snakes, someone who feels a twinge of fear at the prospect of handling a snake, making them reluctant to do so, has a fear, whereas someone who can't stand entering the reptile house at a zoo even the sight of a snake behind plate glass is enough to turn them into a shaking wreck, has a phobia.

I myself don't have any real phobias, although heights do make me uncomfortable.

I used to have Trypanophobia, but luckily I've grown out of it. I would literally cry and kick and scream as a ten year old at the prospect of having to get shots. I was an absolute nightmare for doctors. At this point I'm no longer afraid, though I still get pretty apprehensive.

Neuro linguistic programming -err- phobia.

I don't think it's irrational to be afraid that anyone I meet might be trying to convert me to their ulterior motives.. is it?

I don't know if these count as proper 'phobias' but I am deathly terrified of having my achilles tendon severed. My other fear is needles. Specifically, watching a needle go into me, or seeing it in me. I don't mind the sensation, or even watching other people get stuck, but it's gotten to the point where I need a paper towel covering my arm when I donate blood, because I've passed out a few times now upon seeing it.
I think it's called 'trypanophobia', a fear of needles, and I totally have it- to be specific, vasovagal trypanophobia. Mine is so acute that even being in a hospital will get me queasy. Blood procedures or injections make me hyperventilate, I get tinitus and dizzy, and occasionally I faint.

I can watch the goriest shit horror has to offer, but the second a needle is involved I cover my eyes. And donating blood? Pffft. As horrible as it sounds, and no disrespect to the need for blood drives, but they would have to render me unconscious first.

From an "irrational" standpoint (I guess):
Thantophobia
Atychiphobia
Kinemortophobia[footnote]Only in real life... So, yay?[/footnote]As long as I don't think about it, then they don't bother me at all... *twitch*

Other than that, I do have an irrational fear of misunderstandings, yet it's only for stuff that happens in real life and nothing else...

I lack irrational fear. Extremely long drops immediately below make me edgy and I dislike them, but that's a rational one. I also have a perfectly rational fear of wrestling Randy Savage's zombie.

Maybe I'm wrong but I really don't think so. I find that most people's understanding of a "phobia" is incorrect.

Don't worry, NLP is bullshit anyway. It's modern snake oil designed to see you books.

I have a phobia of breaking a bone. Specifically, my shoulders because they dislocate.

I would've said a phobia of improper grammar but I think that falls into my OCD.

I can't think of anything at the moment, but when I was growing up I had a fear of balloons.

Anthropophobia? Or am I just an extreme introvert who wants to imagine his social anxiety is an illness rather than just an attitude?

I also have a fear of looking out windows at night, because I fear that I'll see someone or something out there looking back at me, even though I know that's crazy.

Ladders. Just ladders.

Not heights, mind you. Just ladders. I have no problem with heights in general, it's just for some reason I always get really nervous when I have to climb a ladder. I have been trying (and mostly succeeding) to getting over it.

I also have a fear of bees, but that's a rational fear, as I'm allergic to them.

I can't put things in the oven or take them out without a oven mitt. I am terrified of it since I burned my self on the doors when I was young.

I cannot answer a phone or a door unless I know exactly who it is.

If I don't know who it is, or I am not expecting anyone, I simply freeze in place until they go away. I just feel this dread and panic on the very idea of it.

Whales, and water deep enough that you can't see the bottom.

These kind of go together. Whales freak me out because they're terrifyingly huge and they can appear from deep water unexpectedly, and deep water freaks me out because I can't tell what's down there and it could be whales.

I was scared of heights when I was younger, but I've mostly gotten over that.
