When the satire is so indistinguishable from reality and the intention isn't clear, it may as well not be satire.

Oh come on I think it was pretty clear satire, I'll hold my hand up and admit to having never read the books (just abstracts) but I see what they represent, people disregarding intelligent novels for popcorn novels. Thats fine if it gets people into reading but it really shouldn't be held in high regard. And we all know it will take the combined effort of four bad writers to destroy 2000 years of literature (JOKE!) sorry...
