And to this day it I would vow to never ever go camping at all for as long as I live.

I mean heck I would have been freaking out even if it was just a Bear.

I was the kid who went camping HOPING to see a Sasquatch or a bear! XD

I was also the stupid girl who went and slept on graves in an old overgrown graveyard because someone said that the people in the graves would come up and pull you under and got poison oak all over myself. I don't think I was ever scared of monsters or creatures or anything like that as a kid. I was terrified of car accidents and tornadoes but I had actually survived both so that is probably why. Reality scares me more than fiction.

I also was the one telling the horrifying ghost stories at sleepovers and had their parents calling my parents telling them that their kid has not slept in weeks and they had to put all their toys in storage because of the story I told them. :X

Please tell me that you write horror stories at least as a hobby. Because it'd be such a shame if you never honed that kind of talent.

I suppose after surviving a freaking tornado, everything else would seem pretty small-fry by comparison.

No, sorry, I have never been much of a writer. Being good at telling stories isn't the same as writing them. I usually just told existing stories and changed them a bit or based my stories on things that really happened. What makes them scary though is how you tell them, even a story that would not be very scary just reading it could be terrifying if you tell it the right way.

In the house and neighborhood where I live, the Hurricane wasn't that dangerous. I don't live near a river so I didn't suffer any flooding.

I mean I actually went outside to get into the car to see if a radio is working.

It just very windy and rainy. And my house is completely made of cement.

A Hurricane is not a Tornado. There is a colossal difference between the two.

Well why did you say I survived a tornado?

Did you even read Lil devils x's reply to you? She was the one that brought up tornadoes. I was pretty clearly responding to her post.

Hey, I used to be into shows like that.
And I super don't blame you.
I watched a lot of Truth Or Scare and Mystery Hunters on Discovery Kids as a, well, kid and that stuff could get pretty intense for young eyes.
I don't have a principle around it or anything but somewhat similar, I'm still terrified of Mothman to this day.

I remember this hayride we had through my parents corn fields on the farm when I was a kid where my brother dressed as Mothman and came running out of the corn field and jumped on the trailer. Of course by then though, I had already scared the neighbors kids off before he had a chance to by telling them the "Green hand" story about the dead coming back and clawing their way through the ground and the floor of their home with their green, skin flaking off moldy hands, and then having them open the jack o lantern to help me light it when the candle blew out only to see the realistic, green moldy looking hand sculpture I had made in art class looking as though it had clawed it's way through the floors of the trailer and the bottom of the jack o lantern inside it resulting in my neighbor jumping off the moving trailer and run screaming and crying at the top of his lungs all the way home and have his father come over later holding a shotgun wanting to know " WTF we did to his kid?!" Who had come home pissed himself and locked himself in his room hiding in the corner rocking and shaking and refused to talk to him about it...

I was only 8 at the time when I learned it wasn't nice to scare kids a year younger than me, even if he was only a year younger than me. The neighbor's dad demanded to see my hand sculpture to show his son it wasn't real and couldn't believe that an 8 year old little girl made such a realistic horrific looking thing at the time in art class at school. I think many adults greatly underestimate what children are capable of. I had actually made that for the School Halloween art contest and won that year.
