Thought to have been lost, now it is found. A playable version of Rareware's Dinosaur Planet is now out.

Dinosaur Planet was a video game by Rareware that was supposed to have been released for the Nintendo 64. But it went through a development change and it eventually became Star Fox Adventures for the Nintendo Gamecube. With many of its gameplay and story elements changed.

Someone found a copy of a playable version of the N64 Dinosaur Planet from a Swedish Collector, so the game is now out.

I never thought I lived to see the day this game would come out, the last Rareware game of the N64 era.

This one is being played on Emulation though, the game on emulation has been very buggy, lots of missing textures and what not.

But I'm noticing a lot of things that still ended up making it to Star Fox Adventures.

Makes me wonder how much of Dinosaur Planet was preserved into the Gamecube version

Plot is definitely changed, but the overall level design and gameplay elements are still the same so far.

Not much enthusiasm or interest in this development huh? Though then again at this state the released build of this game is very buggy and glitchy which is expected, but from the videos I've been watching there is still an extensive amount of content this build has, I'm still wondering if it already has the Final Boss and Ending already programmed in this build?

But in the end I'm just hoping that sooner or later, hackers and amateur developers will reverse engineer this to make a stable and "finished" version of this game.

Especially if they manage to restore the character of Sabre to his original self since in this build he's actually Fox Mcloud.

I don't really have much stake in Dinosaur Planet, I'd be more interested in seeing the N64 version of Mother 3.

I don't know if it was ever made into a playable thing, I thought the footage I've seen from it were purely FMV Pre-Rendered Cinematic Trailers?

Final Boss is in this build, that confirms that this Build of the game is a complete one.
