Oh how dare you claim back money on a product you no longer want and effectivly recycle cleverly.
Slap your retailers in the face then.oktalist said:But that's the whole point. If you've never bought second hand then you're missing out on a butt load of awesome old games.
Do you want your children to grow up in a world where they're unable to play any of the awesome games that we used to play when we were their age?
Gaming historians will say of this decade, "we know nothing about the games which were developed during this era because we lost the serial keys."
Yeah, I love GOG, but they can't do every game.Keava said:In Poland we have CDProjekt (guys behind Witcher and GOG as well) and they release classics for low prices for long itme now. Generally a new game in Poland costs ~35-40$, you can buy perfeclty 'new' classics in the Classics series for about 5-10$. No used crap.
Mose of people are douchebags. It seems like most of people just acts likr they deserve to get games cheaper because they dont want to pay for a product they -might- not like.

About time. Console gamers have had it easy. Now it is time to see it from the side of a PC gamer.
I agree, people don't have the right to demand games be cheaper, but I also see many others calling them morons or asshats because they try to save their hard earned money. They are not thiefs. Reselling is not the devil's work, it has been happening since the beginning and there's still a game industry. (but hell, I'm no economist, so I might be wrong)Keava said:It seems like most of people just acts like they deserve to get games cheaper because they dont want to pay for a product they -might- not like. Well, its your money, you should have enough of your own brain to let you decide if you want to spend it, noone forces you to buy every new game on the market on release day, few months forward and there will be discount.
A lot of used games I buy you don't find on sale anymore. I highly doubt if I am buying it used because I can't find it new that they are going to continue to still offer the downloads.SniperWolf427 said:*Ba-dum pish*Andy Chalk said:It looks like this is the future, kids. I suggest you get used to it.
In all seriousness, I have no problem with this new solution. The developers need to make money and this is an understandable way to do it. It's much preferable to intrusive DRM, the apparent solution to piracy.
And the 3 - 4 dollars you save buying used is never worth it anyways.

That's the real issue here, game devs are now very, very lazy and put a large emphasis on the multiplayer instead of bothering with making an outstanding single player. Multiplayer can get very old very fast, and once you've had your fill of it, may as well pass it on.
Fuck yeah...Scorp123 said:Let the pirating begin.
first off i've bought quite a few bargain bucket games and since the store i buy them in has no 2nd hand sales thing those are still full games...oktalist said:3 to 4 dollars?! What about the golden oldies in the bargain bucket for 1 or 2 dollars, that were fifty dollars when they were released half a decade ago?

Except UFC uses the same peer-to-peer tech through Xbox Live and PSN that most console multiplayer games use. Simply put, THQ doesn't have much to maintain.rembrandtqeinstein said:Its their servers, they need to maintain them, used/traded/rental games increase the playing time per copy and don't contribute the publisher to cover server costs.
Still I expect a lawsuit when the first guy RRODs and can't play online anymore and the phone support monkey tells him to pay $5.
