Tiger & Bunny's Kotetsu and Barnaby are back to fighting crime in a movie set to release in select US theaters next month.

Film production and distribution company Eleven Arts has posted a list of the 21 theaters in the US playing Tiger & Bunny The Movie - The Rising as tickets are now available to purchase for many of these showings. Those living in California and Texas will be happy to see that each of those two states has four theaters, some with multiple showings, that will release the movie. Tiger & Bunny The Movie - The Rising opens Mar. 14, and it will conclude US theater showings on Mar. 26.

The film picks up after the Maverick incident. Kotetsu T. Kaburagi and Barnaby Brooks Jr. are ready to get back to being crime-fighting heroes in HERO TV's Second League, but when Apollon Media's new owner Mark Schneider fires Kotetsu and moves Barnaby, the pair are at a loss. Barnaby is paired up with new hero Golden Ryan in the First League and has to deal with his huge ego while Kotetsu struggles to find his resolve. The heroes must investigate a series of incidents relating to the city's Goddess Legend, discovering a serious threat of terror and destruction. Barnaby and Golden Ryan must learn to work together, and Kotetsu must find the strength to help his colleagues.

All showings are in Japanese with English subtitles. The showtimes are available to view on Eleven Arts [http://www.elevenarts.net/th_gallery/tigerandbunny-therising/], and links to ticket purchases are live for approximately half of the showings.

Tiger & Bunny is a 25-episode anime series about superpowered individuals, the famous of which work for a sponsor company as their work is broadcast on TV. Tiger & Bunny The Movie - The Rising is the second movie of the series. The first, Tiger & Bunny: The Beginning, was released in September 2012.

Lucky US gits but I can guess us Brit will also get the same abliet a much smaller viewings that I can't go to. The sequel look far more promising than the first (I only liked the new content they added in the first film than the mostly recap of the first few episodes put into the film). Also finally we get to see Lunatic in action (one of my favourite characters in Tiger and Bunny)!

FUUUUUUUUUCK the only PA showing is in Pittsburgh! WHY DO YOU HAVE TO BE ACROSS THE STATE DAMNIT DAMNIT DAMNIT

I love Tiger and Bunny but a four hour trip to watch a movie is extreme by any standard. I would be willing to take a bus or train to Philly, but Pittsburgh is just too out of the way.

I thought the anime was pretty fun. I dunno, Tiger trying to come to terms with getting older and the camaraderie was what kept me coming back. The movie should be alright.

Sorry to hear that, man. The reason why appears to be pretty much down to the Tekkoshocon people. (The Hollywood Theater is this old-style classic place with a bit of history and they opened their doors to the local anime enthusiasts.)

OT: YAY, it's happening in Pittsburgh! Hooray for buddy-cop superhero action!
