Tips on Tekken inputs?

I'm gonna try to actually git gud at Tekken 7, try to play it relatively seriously (I dabbled in Tekken 4 at my local theater when I was younger, and dabbled in Tekken Revolution, but T7 will be the one I try seriously).

That said, some inputs (particularly the Electric Wind God Fist) just look wrong. No offense to anyone who play it regularly, but a shoryuken that says to neutral it in the middle just looks odd.

I plan to main Kazuya, so I'll have to get used to it, so any tips on some of these inputs? (for example, is it possible to just treat the EWGF as a standard shoryu?, or will I have to train myself to add the neutral in the middle?)

Pretty old but I would imagine it still applys to a large enough degree given as how Tekken tends to reiterate and build rather than reinvent.

I am afraid I have no real experience with the move as never really played Kazuya and with Tekken 7 I plan to play Kazumi but there were just frame input moves in SCV with Cervantes who I did play and well it just takes a lot of practice. Getting it down in practice mode is one thing but in a match under pressure is another try and find different triggers with your brain i.e I press this when I do this even if it may feel wrong. For example with Cervantes just frame when I got it it felt I had to press way to early.

If you are just starting out though dont fixate to heavily on this get comfortable with your character first then build from there.

I never got Cervantes down to a T but gotta admit did feel good when I pulled it off in match. The combo was pretty cool looking.

Let the stick go neutral after the initial forward tap. It is a little different than street fighter.

Having said that, real men main king.
