Automatic (Dweezil Zappa album)

As Dweezil Zappa, you must travel the world and team up with your siblings, Moon Unit, Ahmet Emuukha Rodan and Diva Thin Muffin. Together you will search for an ancient secret of utmost importance: Why the hell did Frank Zappa give you all such insanely stupid names?

Ha ha, this is a great thread, very creative OP.

Błażejewko [bwaʐɛˈjɛfkɔ] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Kórnik, within Poznań County, Greater Poland Voivodeship, in west-central Poland.[1] It lies approximately 5 kilometres (3 mi) south of Kórnik and 27 km (17 mi) south-east of the regional capital Poznań.

The village has a population of 169.

Okay... well, I'll give it a shot. You are the newly elected police chief of Blazejewko, with a force of 3 officers and a police dog. Because nothing ever happens in this tiny village, all of your staff are lazy and incompetent. However, one day a young girl is founded murdered in the chicken coop on her family farm. The mayor of the town insists that your office solve the crime without getting the authorities in Poznan involved. This seems suspicious to you, but you agree out of fear of losing your job. The game starts as a police procedural much like L.A. Noire, but slowly things take a sinister and supernatural turn for the worse as the game progresses. You must balance the strengths and incompetence of each of your officers as you try to solve the mystery plaguing Blazejewko.

Frank Zappa is the Hideo Kojima of parents. His methods dont make sense to anyone else and im convinced they think the public views them as brilliant.

Thanks man glad you like it.

Baba Yaga seems like an awesome villain, and i can only imagine the depth and endless hours of gameplay that a town of 168 people, one dead girl, and a chicken coop could provide. the fast travel option would be more time consuming then just walking across town.

An american born Switzerland finds that his real mother has died.
He knew that his foster parents weren't his real family while he had stories of his parents he never knew much. When he goes to the place of the death to see his real mom he finds that his dad had died also, both died of Tuberculosis, he knew he was a potential carrier of the disease but turns out instead of it killing him it gave him a greater immunity to all forms of sicknesses(which is true..somewhat). He finds that his real parents were religious scholars, mostly in Christianity and he had inherited most of the their artifacts, he had been left a note by his mother it explained that these artifacts where just things and he could feel free to sell them, all but one thing. A small pendant with what appeared to be a a dull red jem in the center.
A few weeks pass and through dealing with museums he donates most of the artifacts and with it gets a large sum of money. He takes the money a gives it to his step parents for all they have done and leaves his home and gets a big house in in the country(still in Switzerland. One night in his sleep he has .. something.. a vision,a dream, a visitor.. he doesn't know, but he knows he was convinced to agree to something that transported him to a lush forest. He at no point passes out but he knows not how he got their, only a nudging knowing that he knew were he was needed.
10 minutes of walking and he finds a a small city, but he never seen these types of buildings.
He meets some people but their not familiar, their not any race hes ever seen but their not alien, some type of skin tone, a different facial structure, their a beautiful people. They greet him in a familiar sounding language but not one he knows, but he senses no hostility only a type of welcomeness. He stays with the people a few days and they take care of him with no look of distrust or worry, he examines the people they have primitive technology but it seems to be something hes never seen, he recognizes the food and he can clearly see that the people are religious and while the language is unknowing the praying is similar to Christianity.

He takes initiative and goes looking to the forest were he arrived, after a little searching he finds the remains of his house, and other than it looked like it was taken from the ground and set down everything was the way it was, and nothing looked like it had aged, after looking at his wrist watch he saw that only the days he had spent at the village had passed. He collects a few things, some food, cell phone, his assault rifle
(mandatory for all men in Switzerland to own one) his pistol and a pack of surveying things and he headed back to the village. When he returned to the village The people had a look of amazement of his tools. Its clear they have never seen a gun and even his they seen to be enthralled by, but when he pulls out his vintage knife he sees one of the older villagers frown its as if he senses something, but he quickly respites once the knife is put away.

Fuck Yeah.

Planet of Dinosaurs: Cold-Blooded Killers

After crashing into an unknown planet in the spaceship Oddyssey, you crawl from the wreckage to find you are one of the few survivors of the crew. Following your captain, you begin looking for a safe place to hold out until help arrives, if it ever does. The acting captain dies, and you then are chosen to lead the surviving crew to safety. It is an escort mission like no other. You lead the people through jungles and swamps, mountains and streams, trying to reach a mountain you saw in the distance. Many nights pass as you make your way slowly through the ancient world, your group slowly diminishing from anything from dinosaur attacks to sickeness to Godzilla's Grandfather [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rhedosaurus] (apparently). You must use logic to decide what would make good weapons, how to put them together, how to set up traps, etc. You must hunt for your food, as since you do not know anything about the flora of the planet you figure the cooked meat of smaller creatures is probably a safer bet. Hide and night, move during the day. Each day the mountain is a little closer. Will you make it?

I got "One Thousand White Women". Must try to avoid racism.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/One_Thousand_White_Women

The Northern Cheyenne Indians are shrinking in numbers. If nothing is done, they will soon die out forever. A decision is made to breed with white women, thus preserving their heritage in half-blood children and assimilating into white society, which will protect their tribe in the long run. Chief Little Wolf approaches President Ulysses Grant with an offer to trade 1000 women for 1000 horses. Grant publicly refuses.

However, a secret program is initiated called "Brides for Indians". Women who are physically healthy and of child-rearing age are recruited for the task. In order to prevent the public from finding out, these women are exclusively recruited from prisons, asylums, and other restrictive situations.

Your mother is May Dodd. Born in a wealthy family, she fell in love with a man "beneath her" and bore two other children out of wedlock. Sent to a mental institution, she agreed to the "Brides for Indians" program in order to escape and gave birth to you with her new husband.

Eighteen years later, the dead body of Chief Little Wolf and you and the other half-blood children become the prime suspects. Noone in your tribe trusts you and the white government-including your half-brother from before your mother joined the "Brides for Indians" program-won't let you leave the reservation. You are trapped between hostile tribesman and prejudiced soldiers. It is up to you to find out who really killed Chief Little Wolf and why.

I guess gameplay will be similar to LA Noire, or Ace Attorney, or something like that.

...continued
The man stays with the village for a few weeks, he attepts to learn the lanugage but its a slow process. He helps the villaige with work, building homes, working on their crops. But he notices things about the village hes never seen before, the crops they grow are extremly fertile plush with every type of fruit and vegtiable imanginable, and the food tastes amazing, fresh, even things he has eaten his wole life tastes better than ever before. And the village eats no meat, in fact he sees no animals being kept or used at all. All the animals their seem tamed yet don't live with the people, they just seem to be part of them, he sees people pet dear that just alk into the village he even saw a man walk over and feed a bear and pet it. The animals while at first cautious to him have began to just accept him and he to can just enjoy the wildlife, the weirdest thing is that nothing eats meat, not the villagers, not the bears, they all eat the plants that surround them and they seem better for it, healthy, full of energy, even he feels as if a weight has left his enitre by.
Soon moths go by and while curious the man feels no need to leave, in fact he feels a reason to stay, he feels that hes has to be there. He not completly sure why but for some reason he knows that this is where he is needed. One day a group of people walk into the village, they are strangers to all. When the man loked at them he reconizes their ethnicity, a dark skin, as if from the middle east but still hes wasen't 100% on anything, The men were exsauted and the villagers wasted no time in helping them. Unlike them, the trangers spoke the villagers lanuage, but unlike the villagers the group seemed much less civilaized, their cloths while both plane where much more barbaric but stillsomewhat civilized. And the biggest diffrence was that they carried weapons. While most of the villagers were again not at all worried the few obvious elder were distressed but they looked unsure. Though the new strangers seemed wild they werne't doing anything wrong so they stayed for a few days, but each day things got worse. They began harassing the people, the first day its wasent obviuos, but by day 2 it was getting out of hand , on the second day one of the travllers caused a ruckuss, leaving most of the villagers shocked, as if they never seen someone so violent, though the man did not know the tounge he made apparent to the smaller travler to stop trough a little bod language, and it stopped for a while.
The man knew that th travllers were not somthing this village needed, but with the language barrier he could only make sure to stop the travellers from doing harm if the villagers wren't going to kick them out. After studying the travellers equipment wile one was asleep he began to draw some conclusions. Their weapons were of poorly crafted iron, and stone, they were very primitive and many of them had scars only capable from animal attacks or fighting. The man had had to start caring his pistol for fear of what could happen.
One day its obvious that one of the travlers is harrasing one of the village girls, and he has some help from a couple of his friends, though the girl is oblivious and at first could seem to be fine, she eagn to try to escape, but the travler put his hand on her, thats as far as the man let it go.....
Ok class for a few hours then ill hopefully finish the freaking plot.

The Man grabbed the travvlers arm and forced it off the girl, the travvler then threw a punch which hit the man. The man quickly responded to the oddly bad punch and had twisted the travllers arm and threw him to the ground, then one motion grabbed the girl and leaped back. At this point the travlers had all drawn their wepaons and one began to charge the man. He quickly unholstered his weapon and shot him in the leg. This was somthing that none of the people other than the man had seen before, a firearm and its power. Soon the travlers argued with the villigers all the while the man kept his pistol ready. Soon the rest of the travlers charged, his first few shots were to injure but as some got closer he aimed for the biggest targets and some were killd. Soon all the attacking travlers were injured or dead.

Wow. Just... Wow. You must have a much better imagination than mine to be able to make a game preview out of a creature that seems so out of place in video games.

OT: Ok, I'll give this another shot, and I'll use Tvtropes to make it easier...I got Fridge Horror, so I'll just go with horror. That's great! If there's anything I'm really like and understand it's horror games. It'll probably run long but bear with me

I'll describe this game in the fasion of a demo, showing the first 15 minutes or so. For immersion's sake, I'll put descriptions of stuff in brackets and throw in some music, sound clips and pictures, but I don't know how to post sound clips or videos, so I'll just use links.

Our story begins with a mixed racial family on a road trip. They are driving along a gravel road in some undisclosed U.S. State in the afternoon on a dark, cloudy day. In the front seats of the car are a husband and wife, Nelson(half Hispanic half white) and Dahlia (Asian) Lich. In the back are their two twin 6 year old daugthers, Lilith and Satrina and their Aunt Ita (Nelson's side of the family). While driving along the road, suddenly, the car stops.

(She's driving)Dahlia: The tank's empty. Odd, we just filled it a half hour ago.
Nelson: I'll check it.
(Nelson gets out and checks the gas tank.)
Nelson: Don't know how it happened, but the fuel line's ripped.
Dahlia: (Sarcastically) Great, just perfect. What do we do now?
Ita: I saw a sign for a gas station about 4 miles ago, we should be nearby.
Dahlia:I'll head there.
Ita: I'll go with you.
*Cue dialogue choice*
Dahlia: No, I'll be fine by myself.
or
Dahlia: Sure, come along.
(Either way)Dahlia: Nelson, stay and watch the girls.
Nelson: Ok dear, be safe.
Dahlia gets out of the car (for ease of storytelling, I'm describing option 1.) and begins walking down the gravel road towards the gas station.
*Cue player control and music* http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6GIp8YV-lH0
(Behind the back perspective and controls similar to Resident Evil 4)
(I'll be assuming the player takes the most direct route without exploring, though there would be exploration in the game it would be limited at this point.)

Dahlia arrives at the gas station, it is a dilapidated old thing. Once it was a cheerly sky blue with a white metal sign at the top, but now all that can be seen is a rare few flecks of peeling paint among the rotting black wood and cracking concrete, and rusted metal.
Dahlia enters the station, and the door swings shut behind her.
*Cue shadow rushing across the screen, and monster growl* http://www.shockwave-sound.com/sound-effects/monster-sounds/monster2.wav
*Music stops*

Inside, there's a old man and his wife behind a counter.
Man: (Creepy monotone voice) Yes...? I'm Charon, and this my wife Duma.
Dahlia: Those are unusual names.
Charon: (Exploding with anger) THEY ARE PERFECTLY NORMAL NAMES!!! (Calms himself, returns to monotone) May I help you?
Dahlia:(Somewhat freaked out) Uh... Um... I, that is we... (composes herself) Ahem... Our car's fuel line got ripped, can you help?
Charon: Yes Miss. (turns to Duma) See to it my dear...
Duma leaves without saying a word.
Charon: It should be a while, please sit down and relax.
Dahlia: Thank you, you are very kind.
*Cue Phone ringing* http://www.hark.com/clips/vydmfhmgqh-old-telephone-ring
Charon picks it up
Charon: Yes?

*Inaudible speaking*
Charon: (Whispering sinisterly) Yes... They will do fine, just fine... *Inaudible* (Darkly)k...l...the woman.
Charon hangs up
Dahlia sits down in a nearby couch and gradually falls asleep.
*Fade to black*
*Cue flash of monster* (Kind of like this one:
)

and screech* http://www.shockwave-sound.com/sound-effects/scream-sounds/GIRLS.wav

Dahlia awakens with a start.
Dahlia: Uh?!? (looks around) Mr. Charon? Mrs. Duma?
*Camera slowly pans out, the station is deserted, music plays* http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sePNmYPclVU
Dahlia: ....Anyone?
Dahlia leaves the station.
*Music stops, new one starts* http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1BKslvy7-kg
Dahlia returns to the car
*Halfway there monster growl* http://www.shockwave-sound.com/sound-effects/monster-sounds/monster1.wav
Dahlia: (Still walking) What the F@#%...?
Dahlia reaches the car.
Dahlia: Oh... My... (Pukes)
Camera slowly pans to the car, the doors are all wide open, most of the windows are broken , the trunk ajar, and Nelson, Lilith, and Satrina are gone, and Aunt Ita is sitting there... without her head.

Dahlia begins searching the car for clues...(I'll skip to the important part)...finally Dahlia opens the trunk, inside are a spare tire, a tire iron, a toolbox, and 3 guesses where Ita's head is. Steeling herself, Dahlia picks up the head and starts examining it (L.A. Noire style) and notices a folded piece of paper in the mouth...

*Cue monster grabbing Dahlia from behind* Kind of like these but just one:
) *Monster noises* http://www.shockwave-sound.com/sound-effects/monster-sounds/Monster%20-%20walk%
*Fight music* http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V_syRyzzBM0&feature=related
*Struggle quicktime event* (there'd be quite a few, but all quicktimes would be generous, not you die if you don't press a button in less than a second, you'd have to almost deliberately lose, they're there for tension's sake, not to make you watch the same scene over and over.)
Dahlia breaks free, grabs the tire iron and smashes the creature across the face with it.
*Player control returns, player fights monster*

Dahlia kills the monster, says some version of "What the f@#k is that thing!" turns around, picks the head back up, and takes the paper out.
Dahlia unfolds the paper and sees that it is a map to the nearby town. Over the top it says

HOPE'S DROP
Bottom left corner: RE-ELECT MAYOR JACOB NAARAI! (If I was actually making this into a full game, this part would be important.)

In the West side of town the building "Ariel's Slaughterhouse" is circled. Having no other leads, Dahlia begins heading down the road toward town.
*Cue music* http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wqiR2G-XSgA
She passes a sign that says:
WELCOME TO HOPE'S DROP
Population 1,000 500 100
ENJOY YOUR D____!(Guess what the missing letters are)
*Demo ends*

There's two things about the gameplay I'd like to clarify since I couldn't be bothered to put it in the demo: the dialogue and action choices and the companion system.
In this game, dialogue choices and actions would deliberately appear unimportant, but each one would have drastic consquences or benefits on both your ending and even lasting thoughout the entire game, not just determining the ending. Everyone you meet outside the antagonists would have their fates decided by your dialogue choices and actions. So everyone except you could die or live except the evil people if you made certain choices. This is also where the companion system comes into play.

For instance, if you chose to allow Ita to come with you, she obviously won't be killed and have her head in the trunk, she'll accompany you to the gas station, say something snarky to the owners, fall asleep beside you. When Dahlia wakes up, Ita's locked in the storeroom and you naturally free her, and she follows you back to the car.

Obviously, Ita's head wouldn't be in the trunk, so the glove compartment be locked and have the map instead, Ita would be a expert lockpicker but her tools in the trunk so the monster attack can still happen. During the attack Ita would bypass the quicktime event by beating the monster over the head with the tire iron herself, Dahlia would grab a wrench out of the otherwise unimportant toolbox and you both would work together to kill it, afterwords Ita would be your companion for the rest of the game. You can only have one companion each playthrough because the next potential companion in line would become available if the previous one died, though you would still make choices that would determine if other potential companions and other important characters lives or dies, and they leave for whatever reason if you already have a companion.

Companions like Ita would help you in battle, bypass a few quicktime events, talk about where you are, what just happened, and offer suggestions on what to do next or how to solve a puzzle if you talk to them, as well as commenting on story events. To keep companions from becoming a game long escort mission, the AI would be fairly competent as well as immortal, their lives are decided at that dialogue or action choice and no further. The most important thing however would be that companions would possess particular skills that no other companion or Dahlia has, and they would use these skills to allow you to take very different paths to your objective.

For instance, Ita would be an expert at lockpicking, and the front door to Ariel's Slaughterhouse would be locked. Without her, you'd have to take a back entrance, which in most games wouldn't matter, but you'd go through a very different set of rooms, find different puzzles to solve, even sometimes encounter types monsters you wouldn't ever see otherwise in each path, and since here it would be a plot relevant area, you'd end up in the same final room and be faced with the same choice (choices would be either at the very beginning or very end of an area, to be able to have multiple paths and still make the same choices each playthrough. If it's a non plot important area, you'd even go though different buildings than you would otherwise, but you'd always go though something to keep the game the same length.

If you went alone thoughout the whole game, it'd be harder if this wasn't balanced by the fact that you would get access to more effective weapons and armor (yes armor) earlier as a result.

WHEW! That took me 3 hours to write, and I mostly just wrote a 15 minute demo, no wonder video games take so long to make.

Burial vault (enclosure)
Thats what i got. Haha. :D

Ok , sooooo...

Introduction
Player wakes up in darkness until he ignites his handy. Looking through the latest mails ("Int. Undertaking Inc." - We just wanted to inform we moved your coffin to New Orleans. Bill attached, expected payment within 14 workingdays.) you realize your a vampire in today's modern world. It seems you've been banned from your old Vampclan and another mail lists some things you need to do in order to get back in (and have your coffin transported back into the family vault).

Game
Basically i imagine some sort of Vampire-GTA would be fun. The place of your coffin can be changed just by calling that Undertaker Company and no matter where it is parked your coffin serves as escape point (from sunlight and exhaustion).
You have to do some missions for your clan while some side missions help you to stay undetected to local authorities, enemy vamp-clans and religious fanatics hunting vampires in the name of .
Getting something done costs money which you dont have, so you need to search for creepy jobs only needed when the sun doesnt shine and not a lot ppl are around (IT jobs). You need to deal with stupid bosses, gothic colleques who like how you look and girls feeling lonely.

I'd play it. :)

"Keith Frazier"? There isn't even a picture... I'm re-rolling.

"A Gift for Zooter?" Still no picture. It's an epsisode to a show I've never heard of, also with not pictures. Still....

Ellyvan has neglected to purchase a gift for Zooter! Now, he must go on an epic adventure to acquire a present of such magnitude that his forgetfulness will be forgiven. Clearly, a scrapbook is in order. But to create it, he must undertake jobs from each of the other animals in the Jungle in order to gain the pictures and decorations necessary to make it truly magnificent. Can he accomplish such a herculean task? Or will the scrapbook remain an unattainable dream?

I got "High Sheriff of Essex"

Here goes;

Title - "Lord of Essex"

Synopsis - You're a pompous aristocrat recently having been given the honourbale title of High Sherrif of Essex. Unfortunately, unlike your predecessors, the most experience in law and order you've had is stubbing your toe whilst chasing a young burglar caught stealing from your highly decorative, item-lathered castle dormitory. Whilst cowardly, you are a man with a strong sense of justice and do your best to fight crime in the Kingdom, eventually becoming one of the most honourable men in Essex as your skill outmatches all the warriors of the land. You enjoy your celebrity status, until the Royals of England plot to kill you...

100% historically inaccurate.
