Holy Hell you have to play this [http://freebirdgames.com/to_the_moon/] game!

The The Moon follows the two characters Dr. Eva Rosalene and Dr. Neil Watts as they traverse through the memories of a dying man fufill his last wish to go to the moon, however the old mans mind is heavy with powerful memories and feelings that conflict with the technology and consciences of the scientists as they wonder "Will changing this mans memories really make him happy?"

I have never played a game with such emotional intensity, only being four hours long and made with RPG Maker XP the game doesnt tax your brain and reflexes but it will move your heart with a rich story, interesting characters and a tear jerking conclusion that will stay with you long after you finish playing.

Story: Emotionally intense; it can have you near tears one moment and laughing the next.
Soundtrack: Fantastic piano scores that compliment the story and its moments perfectly.
Gameplay: Minimal; other than the small puzzles after each segment your experience in the game will derive from the story
Graphics: It was made with RPG Maker XP, but overall the 16bit art is good.

Overall: Play it, do what ever you can to play this game. You wont forget it any time soon.

(I finished the game in one sitting from midnight to 4am)

Fixed your YouTube link for you.

And yes, I agree completely. Absolutely brilliant game. Simple graphics, simple mechanics, transcends them both with a beautiful story, beautifully told. More games like this and we can put the "Are games art?" rubbish to bed for good.

PS - I cried like a baby when I realized the significance of the rabbit.

I completed this game today.

I think it has the best, most mature story in gaming by far and it's really touching and brilliantly told.
There are moments in the game where I challenge you to not cry or at least be very close to. At the same time it tells his tale with a lighthearted approach in many situations, down to being genuinely funny. Although, admittedly there isn't much "gamey" stuff here. You click on a handfull of hotspots in every scene, complete a simple puzzle and move on. The focus is clearly on its characters and plot, but that didn't bother me, because those parts are far ahead of every other game.
In fact, it's on par with great movies like Mary & Max (if you haven't seen it, check it out !). I am close to my thirties now and playing video games since back to my earliest childhood memories in the age of four or five. I can't remember to have ever played a game this emotionally touching. I'll admit it, too: I cried. Not only once.

When I'm on my deathbed and Eva and Neil show up, I'll tell them no matter what don't alter the memory of To the Moon.
