I can't tell if the MLP entry is for FiM specifically of the franchise in general. There are times on this list where I'd see an entry and think "which one?", like with Alvin and the Chipmunks, and other times it's specified, like with TMNT.Popadoo said:All of the bronies are disappoint.
I mean, it's popular. You can tell from the amount of people on this channel alone that have it as their avatar.
The stories are, eh, good. Not amazing, and sometimes predictable, but better than half the crap cartoon channels spew out nowadays.
Animation is great, no doubt about it.
Iconic? Yeah, for better or for worse MLP:FiM has had a big effect on the internet. Also, there are a ton of events set up JUST for it. That's pretty big if you ask me.
Again, we bronies are disappoint.
Also, The Simpsons hasn't been funny for a long time.
Yeah, I was talking about FiM in particular.OneBrokePony said:I can't tell if the MLP entry is for FiM specifically of the franchise in general. Based on the criteria, if it's the franchise (MLP/n'Friends/Tales/FiM) I'd have it ranked further forward than where it is and probably would have bunched it with the other big oft rebooted shows born during the buy all our playsets and toys era (Transformers, GI Joe, TMNT). If it's just FiM, I'd hold off on ranking it based on this list's criteria. Don't get me wrong, if it was just a list of favorite shows, it'd be at least in my top 10, but I'd wait to see what sort of impact it has on the industry before ranking it by itself.
I meant whether the OP aba1's list had FiM separted out or lumped with the rest of the franchise. I assumed you meant FiM.Popadoo said:Yeah, I was talking about FiM in particular.
And in terms of the criteria, like I said, it's VERY popular, animation and writing is spot on and I personally think it'll be very iconic in the future considering how much of an impact it's had and the fact that the audience was so... controversial? Interesting? Different? Whatever, you catch my drift.
Ah, sorry, a little confused. I assume the OP meant FiM, also. And I hope the industry learns from it, we could do with more shows like it.OneBrokePony said:I meant whether the OP aba1's list had FiM separted out or lumped with the rest of the franchise. I assumed you meant FiM.
I agree with you about it being iconic in the future, and the popularity and quality criteria are enough to rank it. It does belong on the list; I guess I'm just waiting to see if the industry is learning something from FiM.
Both that and Young Justice are kind of too recent to be in a Top 100 list. Not that recent shows can't be good enough but I think they need to stand the test of time.Cheery Lunatic said:Better list than I expected.
Disappointed Courage the Cowardly Dog, Young Justice, and Foster's Home for Imaginary Kids were missing though.
And if the first two episodes are any indication of how The Legend of Korra is gonna play out, then it also definitely deserves to be on this list too.
