I'm curious to see who some of your favorite bands are. I could easily expand my list to 50 bands and still struggle with who to cut, but I figure 5 is an easy enough number to pair it down to the "all-time favorites"

5. Max Webster / Kim Mitchell
4. Creedence Clearwater Revival
3. Kiss
2. Skid Row
1. Queensryche

Now this is a tough one. I'll stray a bit and post my top 5 out of the different genres.
1. Between the Buried and Me (Prog Metal)
2. Victor Wooten (Jazz)
3. Orbs (Prog Rock)
4. Foxy Shazam (Pop)
5. Ultra Dolphins (Punk)

And now everyone knows where I get my name.
Honorable mentions : Diablo Swing Orchestra, SkeletonWitch, and Tetrafusion

Do they need to be bands (which is to say, more than one person)? Oh, whatever, I'll just make two lists--and yes, this is indeed my clever way of making a top five list into a top ten list.

For groups:
1. Radiohead
2. Ozomatli (their older stuff, at least)
3. The Bad Plus
4. Muse (again, their older stuff)
5. Hail Mary Mallon

For individuals:
1. Sage Francis
2. Jose Gonzalez
3. Bonobo
4. DJ Shadow (except for about half of The Outsider)
5. Cut Chemist

Just don't ask for an overall list... Sorting through to choose only five would take hours of pain, suffering, and agony.
