Touch screens- stylus or fingerprint touch style?

So, I have both a Nintendo DS and an Ipod touch.*
Of course, one has to note that the DS, as well as many other devices with touch screen interfaces, are designed to respond to a specific, small point being touched. Styluses and long fingernails typically work best with these things. As a female of the human species, it is socially acceptable for me to have longer nails, so I usually prefer this type of control.

Of course, I can't help but notice that with the Ipod touch, it reacts best when your entire fingertip is on the screen. This makes for some odd transitions between devices, and as a painter, I often have to be diligent to not smear paint all over my screen. However, I find this design the most responsive of all touch screens I've used.

Which type of touch screen do you prefer? Have you only had one type or the other?

*[small]Don't even think of getting on to me about how you think the Ipod touch is stupid. It came free with the computer, and considering the fact that I just killed two PCs in one weekend, I got a Mac 'cause they're all the less likely to spontaneously break. If you disagree, keep it to yourself. -.-[/small]

Well it would be nice to have a poll, but the stylus keeps the screen cleaner and allows for more accurate presses. Could you see someone using an Ipod Touch to play Trauma Center or Ninja Gaiden? I think not.

I much prefer the DS for the precision control of the stylus. I am quite surprised that you can get the Ipod touch screen to work with your fingernail because when I let someone like my mom or grandma use it, they try to use their fingernails and it doesn't respond at all.

The iPod Touch can actually use any standard stylus if I'm not mistaken. Appears I was mistaken. I do know that some stylus' are built out of a special plastic that sort of simulates the human finger.

It can, but it prefers the whole finger.
At least, this is my experience.
