Toy Story 4 Coming 2017

John Lasseter will reportedly return to direct fourth installment of Pixar's original franchise

Pretty-much everyone figured that 2010's THR reports [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/escape-to-the-movies/1809-Toy-Story-3] that Disney's chairman Bob Iger announced a fourth installment during a sales call earlier today.

John Lasseter will return to direct the film, for which no plot or scenario has been officially announced. The previous film concluded with the toys having been passed to a new owner and incorporated into her collection, with further adventures occurring in a series of short films and a well-received Halloween special. Seriously??? The third film was an excellent send off for the franchise and the characters and while I'm fine with their shorts but what the hell can they do with the fourth? I guessing it would be some adventure or take place a couple of years since another timeskipped would be them badly worned out and damaged!

Okay. So are they going to find Little Bo Peep in this movie? Because I still feel sorry for Woody at the end of the third one. Everyone else had someone, but he was standing off by himself watching them all. Poor guy.

Well the old silver and golden age of Disney movies eventually descended into terrible terrible sequels, so it was only a matter of time until the new golden age did the same thing.

If they do do this, I hope they divorce it from the original and set it up with an entirely new cast in a new place.

God dammit I already cried over Toy Story 3. I don't wanna cry when they drive the bus off the cliff and tarnish a damn good trilogy with a sequel that isn't warranted or wanted.

I will just pretend that I did not read this, and when the movie is released I will just stay at home with my fingers in my ears because they cannot top Toy Story 3. There is simply no way for a sequal to be better or even equal.

Hopefully because it grabs my heart and squeezes it, in the good way. As in, not by being a terrible movie.
