Well, let's see.

Main Character seems to be someone other than a young lovable douchebag. That's good.

Something that appears to be Mount Chilliad is there. That's good.

Still seems to be the gritty unfun world of GTAIV. That's bad enough I won't care about it.

Looks awesome, and there's some speculation that you'll be playing as Tommy Vercetti from Vice City.

Voiceover sounds like Ray Liotta
0:40 could be Vercetti
The whole wanting to get clean and start over thing.

It's like they're combining the two best GTAs! Well, maybe.
I'm praying that we can play as Tommy again. He was always my favorite psychopathic killer.

OT: From what I can garner in this trailer:
Better foliage (thanks to RDR)
Animals maybe (thanks to RDR)
More dynamic lighting, weather and skyboxes(thanks to RDR)
Possibly a hobo Niko Bellic, since it looks like his outfit from GTA4, with the bomber jacket and polo shirt
Planes again finally
Jets
newer, more dynamic weapons (possibly customization)
biggest GTA world we've ever seen (central city, outlying burrows, residential, possible forest, mountains including Mount Chiliad)
Much better animation than we've ever seen in a GTA game (and that's saying a lot)
possible non-island setting for once

With a laundry list like this that I picked up on from a one minute trailer, think how much more could be in the game!
My wishlist includes:
More dynamic weapons
possible inclusion of the Rhino tank again
better character customization
more vehicles than we've ever seen

And finally, remember how little we learnt from GTA4 from its debut trailer? I'm personally hoping that they reveal another city in the next two trailers, to include the whole of San Andreas. Las Venturas, here I come!

When GTA is brought up I am known to jump on the "GTA IV was way to serious and the cousin ruined it I'm heading to Saints Row 4EVA" train, but this trailer got me way, way more excited than I thought it would, now if you'll excuse me, I am going to go play San Andreas

I'd be SO HAPPY if it was a sequel to what has already happened in previous games, especially Vice City and GTA4. I loved Tommy Vercetti, and Niko Bellic is awesome. I never liked San Andreas (the game. the city is fine, like all the other cities, I guess.), and I never liked CJ.
If he makes a cameo, or is an important contact or whatever, that's fine, but I'd rather not play as him.
Either way, chances are I'll get it. Hell, who am I trying to fool. I WILL get it. And that's that.

Ehh, Rather disappointing. I mean aside from revisiting a locale already done, I really am not looking forward to lots of Bloom + brown, which is most of what I saw.

yep, Dissapointed. Ill get it someday , but not likely to be a day one for me. Not saying it will be bad. Just doesnt suit my tastes.

I may be misremembering, but didn't CJ DIE at the end of San ANdreas?!?
I don't know what game you were playing, but CJ was alive and kicking at the end of San Andreas.

The game looks visually appealing, but I fear the series mights start stagnating.
Why not a new place? If not, then why not use all of San Andreas instead of only Los Santos?
What I liked about the San Andreas setting was that it was so big that it made using aircraft feel necessary.
This news, in addition to GTA IV being unplayable for me on release, makes me believe that I'll probably wait for thorough patching to be done and a price drop before buying the game.
There's no reason to assume, from ONE TRAILER, that we'll only be stuck in Los Santos.

that ain't CJ! 1:07 That's CJ!

I know. I screwed the qoute up.
That guy is way too young to be CJ. By this point in time, assuming this is present-day give or take a couple of years, CJ will be almost or past forty.

This shows me how much damage GTA IV did to this series for me. I loved the series from the start with GTA, GTA II/London 1969 and GTA III/Vice City. San Andreas was okay, but IV really dropped the ball because it simply stopped being fun. I have zero enthusiasm for V after waiting for III on launch day speaks to how this series has fallen from my interest.

So, meh from me.

I'm actually kinda disappointed; I was hoping they'd set it in some place like South America or the Keys in order to make the setting more exotic and different. I'm also disappointed that our protagonist is another white guy in organized crime, though him being a father is an interesting wrinkle that could make for some intriguing dynamics. I still wish they'd try things with a woman for a change.

Never have I been so excited to see a trailer, and what I ended up seeing certainly didn't disappoint.
It looks like a very nice contrast to the absurdity of Saints Row 3...

Hey cousin, want to shoot some pool or something?

I hope that they got rid of this stupid aspect of an otherwise great game. Not saying that there shouldn't be things to do outside of quests, of course, just that the player should be able to decide to do them when they want to do them.

but how can he be a father if there are no kids in the GTA universe?
