TRANSMETROPOLITAN (spoilers)

So I finally saved up enough money to buy the final volume of Transmet. Even got it signed by Darick Robertson at the Armageddon expo in Melbourne.
The ending was amazing, and it is without a doubt the greatest graphic novel I have read to date. There isn't much literature that I can genuinely laugh at but Spider just knocks me dead. Grinning for so long I pulled a muscle in my cheek. That shit hurts.

But I am still confused as to what Spider Jerusalem sounds like, in terms of speech. There's the huge Hunter S. Thompson influence, so does he sound like the man himself, or the Johnny Depp or Bill Murray portrayals, or does he sound completely different?
What do our fellow Escapists think?

100% agreed on the ending - truly fantastic.

I actually have no idea what he'd sound like. I get a weird Johnny Depp/Ewan McGregor/Heath Ledger mixture in my head while I read it. Hard to explain

It's not a graphic novel... It was a comic series. There's a difference.
Also, there is no way to translate all that mythology/pacing/and watching a guy type to a movie.
