Tropico 3: Any good?

With the steam sale on Tropico 3, i want to see what the Escapist thinks.

I may actually purchase it, but i want an idea on whether or not the experience is actually enjoyable.

A steal at $7.50. Faithful remake of the original with some nice updates and better graphics. This is a recording...a recording...a rec*BZZZZT*
