The Opioid epidemic is driven by opioids being prescribed too often, in too high doses on dubious indications. The solution is not to remove opioids entirely, but to ensure they are only prescribed or administered when really needed, not because someone has a recurring headache.
Well, yeah but you also have to consider illicit drugs, alcohol etc. The real problem is that people just want to numb the pain of existence.

The solution is not to remove opioids entirely, but to ensure they are only prescribed or administered when really needed, not because someone has a recurring headache.
I am glad to see more awareness to the topic of pain management. It's vital.
