For a man who is obsessed with calling everyone he disagrees with a liar and 'fake news', he sure does like to lie alot.

That is because Trump likes to blame others for his own faults.

But that's the whole point of stock images. You give up the right to editing them. They could have put anything they want in that photo. That's why their 'stock' images.

Do you have some info that we don't?

The man in question is a 'celebrity' from Britain. He's on a dating show or whatever. All articles I've found said that he was merely posing by the London Eye [https://www.mirror.co.uk/3am/celebrity-news/love-islands-rykard-jenkins-roped-20062747]. And that he posted on his personal Instagram.

I don't do social media, but if you post something on Instagram that's not a stock photo... right?

~edited. I researched my own question [https://www.refinery29.com/en-us/2018/04/196864/instagram-copyright-dos-donts]

To share someone else's Instagram photo, you need to get their permission.

"Without [permission], you're infringing on someone else's copyrighted work. There are a few times when that may not be the case - it depends on the photo itself and its origins ? but the vast majority of photos you see on Instagram and other services that were taken by the individual posting the photo belong to that individual.

"Photos have been covered by copyright protection from the beginning ? the social media revolution hasn't changed that. It's just a lot easier for people to infringe on others' copyrights."

...

At the end of the day, you own the rights to the photos you post.

"If I post a picture to Instagram, I still own that photograph. I've granted a very broad license to Instagram to use that photo on their platform, and another license to my fellow users to see the photo, but I still get to control how it's used outside the platform."

1. Its not a stock image.
2. Its still a lie by someone who criticizes everyone he disagrees with as being 'lairs and fakes'. Political campaigns should not be using stock images to claim they are actual supporters.

Surely there were lots of pictures of Fred Durst in a red hat they could've 'shopped?!

By someone working for him; I doubt he has a clue the picture exists.

His ignorance, as I am sure you can agree, is no excuse. Its kinda his biggest problem.

This is another issue in a long list that goes to the heart of any matter. Reputation. I, while disheartened that Trump 'won' (in a bogus way by his own admission when Obama won the Electoral College [https://twitter.com/realdonaldtrump/status/266038556504494082?lang=en]... even though Obama also won the popular vote), took a week to calm down and hoped for the best.

He's far exceeded the worse. Scandal after scandal, Trump not only weathered but became stronger within his Cult. Even if it's just someone working for him, he said it himself that he'd only hire the best [https://www.cnn.com/2018/08/13/politics/donald-trump-jeff-sessions-omarosa/index.html].

The man chooses to surround himself with criminal, morally reprehensible, and/or bigoted people. It's hard to believe that surprise, surprise, another one of Trump's hires just ends up being a despicable person which he had no clue about even though it just ends up benefiting him regardless. After time and time again of this constantly happening, we just have to have to admit to ourselves that he is picking these people on purpose. And they go on to pick other people of morally questionable ethics. And so on until we get the situation we continually find ourselves in with Trump.

It's a kind of desperation that gives me hope. For the future of their demise. Although it's a desperation that causes equal worry for what's to come.

But could they not have just payed some, nay...any nearby rando to take a photo with the hat? Or get one of the team to pose for it? Hell, get the orange buffoon to do the shoot! That would encourage the cult! It's such lazy corruption. Or was this meant to be one of those "why hello fellow black voters..." that they pulled before, and there just so happened to be no-one nearby they could convince to do a shoot for money? I know I'd tell them to fuck off if put in the same position.

Why to fix it if it isn't broken (other than morally)?

If I had photoshopping skills, I would start editing Trump pictures to have him support things he doesnt, like Obama, and saying that his daughter isnt hot. Would probably upset him and get him to claim he is going to sue for libel. He will, ofcourse, not see the hypocrisy, because he is literally a hypocrite about everything, even when he doesnt have to be.
