Its kind of a waste of time that isn't worth putting much more effort into than a meme.
Who do any of us get the opportunity to vote for? Who winds up on a ballot, who gets bought out, who has the money to actually campaign, who does the the Democratic Party not even let into the race? Superdelegates were a thing until this election. To assume we have real power over who does and does not get elected is as farcical as saying the Roman citizenry decided who Consul was.
I think Biden will do a worse job trying to kill me and him winning with a wide margin will avoid civil war. I’ve said this before (this being why I plan to vote for Biden despite living in a Blue state). I just think you guys are terrible at arguing and rely on entirely faulty logic.

Edit: also, bad moralizes something that need not be disputed as such. Ineffective is preferable, as well as wrong and harmful. When I do in fact use bad as a descriptor for politics, it is as a synonym for one of those.

Acknowledging that there are racists causing problems there =\= everyone is a racist. I never said all the people were racist, I said SOME of the people are racist and those people were online calling for the very violence that is now happening there. The people trying to stand up to it is what I would expect them to do. You mistook me wanting to talk about the very real problem of racists infiltrating the police there and wanting to inflict harm upon the people there as meaning EVERYONE there is a racist and that is just absurd. " the people" is a mixed bag. Some of the people who are racists are causing problems for everyone else who is not. Trusting in " the people" I would hope means only the people who are not being racist assholes, because as much as we don't like racist assholes they are still part of " the people", so are the racist cops I wanted to take about before but you would have none of it.
You being upset at the situation is understandable, just your frustration may also be clouding your ability to accurately assess the situation. You have politicians trying to do their best and making mistakes while also having opposing groups trying to undermine their efforts as well. Keep in mind, the racists and GOP are also doing everything in their power to ensure all efforts made by their opposition fail. I do not think your leadership there hates you, I do think they are struggling to find the best way to deal with a situation that should have been dealt with before it blew up like this because I was not the only one who saw this coming before it ever finally blew up either. In the years leading up to this white nationalists groups online in the region were calling exactly for this to happen and have been planning it for years now. Everyone there, including you thought that was absurd, and didn't think racism was that much of a problem there. The racists IN THE AREA are who were online calling for the other racists to join them there for this in the first place. You were not alone in believing it couldn't happen, your officials there were also of the same mindset as you are and refused to see the racists that had already infiltrated their own police there. Now everyone has more than they were prepared to handle. That is why we really need to elect officials that are 10 steps ahead of what is coming so that they can head these things off. I see very little of that happening at all levels of government, not just where you are, this is a widespread problem atm because people failed to accurately assess the sheer size and scope of the racist problem we are facing right now. People, not just you, not just officials there, but people and governments all across the US are embarrassingly under prepared and ill equipped to deal with the size and scope of this problem because they dismissed the coming storm as an " overreaction" and exaggeration of how bad this really is right now. That is why we have Trump, Proud Boys, KKK and Nazis arguing over who gets to hold an event and the rest of the racist shit the US should have outgrown long ago rearing it's ugly head again and us being unprepared to do anything to stop it.

1) Trump didn't have to try to hard to dis-incentivise POC from voting for Hillary
Her Super predator comments
Her supporting a border fence (in response to Trump supporting a wall)
Vs Obama with her campaigns "Obama Boys" rhetoric
Her response to the Louisiana Hurricane being to sit at that exclusive resort trying to raise money from 1% people while Trump sent a Truck load of aid and then was on about wanting to go down there
Hillary's "Harpies" online putting people off voting for her be they black or white by being so aggressively fanatical and shutting down talk by people mentioning their objects and faults with insults. Including a common one of they used attacking Black people as Uncle Toms
2) Didn't this happen on both sides?
I mean there were pushes to say Trump hated religious people.
There were pushes before about Trump hating veterans.
There were pushes to try and make Trump seem more immoral to turn off more moral religious types from him.
I think they also claimed the Police unions didn't support Trump at one point (oooppppss?)

We get to vote for who we go through the trouble to enable us to vote for. It sucks that it is this complicated, but it is. Bernie gave us the path and told us what to do.
Local, state and congressional elections determine the electoral college, so we have to start with those if we want to change the electoral college so that we can get to select who is on the ballot. We have not yet done that. If we are serious about changing this, no one is going to do it for us. We have to literally have progressives move from areas where there are too many to areas where we need more to flip them. Not just move there AND vote themselves, but also actually work to recruit more and change minds from the " hostile" region they move to. It is like me being in deep red trump territory being forced to talk to people I can't stand to try and help them understand why things are the way they are and what we have to do to actually change it. I have been able to actually do so , but not near as many as I need to because, tbh, it is exhausting. It completely sucks to have to try and explain all this crap to everyone all the time when I just want to relax and go about my day without them even in it. Sometimes that is what it takes. People trust what they know and if they know you and respect you, they will listen to you. I have had to do that myself, and I can promise you it isn't easy, not everyone will appreciate it, but the few people who do take it to heart is a few more than we had before. This is so much harder now to convince people to actually understand the facts and not Alex Jones Conspiracy BS than it was to dress like a fairy princess with my tiara and wand and be the condom queen in high school teaching " no glove no love!" to prevent teenage pregnancies and STDs. If all I had to do now was show them some body glittered cleavage and smile to get them to take and use condoms, to get them to vote in their own best interests now this would be a breeze. This is not easy, no one said it would be easy, but that is what it takes. We have to change people's minds if we want to change our options. We have to get the people in these regions to be willing to put progressives on the ballot, and that means counteracting corporate money and scumbags doing everything in their power to ensure we fail. Bernie did show us it can be done, but no one is going to do it for us, it is up to us to make it happen.

I am literally surrounded by these people and have little to no hope that my district will flip due to these people around me seriously believing this and that Biden will let the protesters burn their neighborhoods to the ground.
You think Biden will make the police kill you and they think he will make the protesters kill them. There is no winning here.

I did everything I could to explain how this would turn out, fought to elect a guy who would destroy him, and pushed Biden and the rest to take stances and do work that would’ve prevented his coup. It’s not my purpose or desire to go out and convince people to vote for Biden, I’m here to explain why you’re doing a shitty job at it and try to get people to stop the inevitable fuckery from happening and making all our votes meaningless, which will is more likely to occur because the Dems are doing fuckall to stop it.
Sounds like you should go out and convince them rather than convince socialists because honestly your arguments mostly push people like me away. Maybe try to convince your neighbors to vote for Trump and they’ll decide not to.
Why would my arguments push people who agree with me away? I agree with socialism. That is why I am trying to change the platform. Making everything worse isn't a good argument for people like me who want to make things better. It isn't hard to see what to do when comparing platforms, policies and actions side by side. All anyone has to do is actually look. Somehow that is a bad argument... Listen to what random people say on twitter is somehow better than looking at actual voting records, policies, platforms and actions?
People don't want to compare current actions to current actions and actually look at what the data tells us for both parties and me telling them to is somehow off putting. funny stuff.

Because you are generally on the 'whoever wins we are fucked' train of argument which does a great job of spreading voter apathy. You yourself may vote and I am not saying to ignore the problems of either party, but with how hard you go, I can easily see you having dissuaded people from voting.
