Now he just has to pardon Manafort and all of them will get off without any punishment for their innumerable crimes

Surprising no one.

I would say he have had a small portion of their punishment... by staying home...And doing what he normally does. It’s almost like he wasn’t in prison in the first place

I say we execute Paul Manafort over the thousands of bodies he helped to bury

Sorry man, not really into executions. Including drone strikes. Even if they are mass murderers. Including Saddam or Bin Laden.

Him not being in jail since May is a fucking travesty ,

I would if they know by accepting a pardon they have to plead guilty to what they convicted for? So like in order to get a pardon for being convicted of lying to the FBI on his interactions with the Russians and Wikileaks to help the Trump campaign, Flynn has to admit he really did lie to the FBI about his interactions with Russia and Wikileaks to help the Trump campaign.

Flynn already admitted to lying to the FBI. He just thinks that there's nothing wrong with lying to the FBI and therefore he isn't guilty of any crime.

The FBI are just part of the deep state: freedom will only be achieved when everyone is allowed to lie to the FBI.

Tbf people should be allowed to lie to the FBI without going to jail for it. Fuck the FBI. If they ask you what you were doing at such and such a time and you're mistaken about the date, they can threaten you with jail time. Fuck them.

Second that. Or, how about it's a crime for the FBI to lie to other people, and someone holds them accountable for that. Beyond undercover stuff, though.

You are allowed to be mistaken. They can threaten you with jail time, but they would have to prove intent to deceive.

Is that like the way they can't shoot an unarmed black guy in the back?
No. Court cases have a burden of proof. If the rozzers shoot black people in the back, they have the benefit; they want to charge people with lying, the accused has the benefit. Never mind that it's hardly difficult to defend the concept of an oversight or mistake in memory.

Never mind that, but frankly, the FBI have better things to do than charge people with lying to them on shaky grounds (unless they're being charged with other crimes too).

To be fair, that's more of the police. FBI a.) doesn't have to prove their worthiness annually with arrests and the like to keep their budget b.) have higher levels of screening to weed out wackos who need that control over another person's life to have a power trip and c.) aren't out and about with common people on the level of police where they can apply such measures.

Not saying it doesn't happen. But most likely no where near the levels of the police. I'd talk to an FBI agent over a cop any day of the week.

Rabid and stupid police will rant and rave about jail time for lying. The FBI - and their equivalent agencies around the world - are generally concerned with big fish; terrorism, organised crime, slavery, massive drug importation/distribution and other very large scale criminal and corrupt conduct. By and large they aren’t interested in making a song and dance about what can be verified as a mistake due to bad memory because frankly their plates are full with more important things.

And considering the caliber of bullshit artist they regularly interview, I’d be willing to bet they can spot the difference between a mistake and lie from Joe Sixpack and Wendy Wine-Cooler.

Nah. What it comes out to is leverage. They can get you or your loved one on a technicality, threaten you with jail time, and use that to pressure you into something else they want.

Don't trust a cop to not abuse whatever power they get, regardless of if their municipal or a fed. The FBI has as many if not more skeletons in its closet than any municipal police force.
