I dunno. In Schlock Mercenary both apes and elephants have become sentient (through SCIENCE!) and it's a pretty fun world. When you're not getting shot at. Which means it's kind of like modern day world.
i did a thread about 'WTF if anthros were possible?' even the furries were anti-this. people were ok with it going the other way though (consenting humans as the base).robert022614 said:Furries would have waaay too much fun with this.
Look I'm all for some planet of the apes. You want catgirls? I got your back. I draw the line at actual Bronies. Especially if they are not required at age 16 (or before) to acquire their cutie mark. Now I have to go write some fanfic about how Pinky Pie and Deadpool stopped an alien invasion. Thank you.Deshin said:I for one welcome our demi-humanoid brethren. All Terran life forms will be needed to rally together against the alien invaders so any hand, paw or hoof that can hold a gun will be needed!
Except that's not REALLY how it works and even if it did you wouldn't know what drawbacks came with it. We HAVE in fact advanced animals down their own lineages already by providing those things. It's called dog breeding, we've got ones with spots, big one, ones you can fit in your purse. The problem is that most of them are pretty specialized and only good for whatever scenario we were aiming at.Abandon4093 said:Sped up evolution on the other hand, maybe possible. Advancing animals down their own lineage by providing adequate environments, scenarios and catalysts... maybe.
