"Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker will answer many of the series' unanswered questions"
Oh dear, more retcon? Or more ridiculous and barely believable answers?

On a more serious note though, a co-operative Metal Gear is definitely interesting!

Will Hideo Kojima ever quit hes being saying since mgs 2 that this is the last one. At this point hes just taking the piss. also i'd guess it is released in japan first since the devs are from there and therefore the script is in japanese and needs translating thus a delay happens
Did he say Peace Walker was going to be the last game? Anyways, I actually found his point plausible: Konami won't stop making MGS games, with or without Kojima. So before some dipshit wannabe tries to make another one and fuck his whole vision completely up, he's going to make that ************ himself.
That's his exact wording.

About translations being the reason for late release of the game: Highly unlikely. The story is already written before they even start the concept designs of the game, so there is plenty of time to translate and dub it. Probably has something to do with the publisher, printing the discs, making deals with retailers, shipping the goods to retailers etc.

Also I love the title of these news. U.S. & U.K. is everything there is in this world except Japan.
No i he didnt say this was going to be his last game but he did for mgs2, mgs3 and mgs4.
Also i love mgs 1&2 i like 3&4 but have you seen the ending of 4? He does not need anyone else to fuck up his vision he is doing it fine by himself.

Why do the Japanese people get things earlier?
Quite simply, it has to do with localization.

The game is being developed in Japan, and therefore in order to port it to the States/UK/anywhere else in the world, it has to go through several processes. Translations, re-dubbing, licensing, determining whether there's even a demand for the game overseas... all of these things take time, so unless you undertake certain parts of development simultaneously with overseas branches of your company, the version developed in your "home country" is going to be finished first. At that point, you have a choice: either hold back the game, or break it in certain countries early.

Trust me, there are Japanese on the other side of the world asking the same question about American/European release dates :D

Another Metal Gear?! I can't wait!

...

Wait, I still haven't recovered from the length of the cut scenes from Metal Gear Solid: 4. I don't wanna fall asleep during the game again. I think I just might be able to abstain from getting it. ._.

I dont really care for the series.. And i always found Hideo Kojima to be the craziest person on the planet.. And for this one wouldnt that make snake like 80? or something cuz in the last game he was like 40 or something but since hes a rejected clone or something he looked like he was 70..

Someone make a Goddamn time line for this series PLEASE
If you have a PS3, you should look at the free MGS Database on PSN, it has literally every single piece of information you could want, as well as a timeline that links to explanations. After reading through it, you almost feel like you understand the entire story, before you think about it a bit more and get confused all over again.

Sega CD, that is all
The Sega CD had at least TWO good games, okay?! I don't care if that doesn't make your point any less valid. TWO!

Well yeah, that was my point :p you were picking on something that's not the case any more. I guess Kojima won't say that ever again because he knows Konami is going to make him make those games.

I'd only buy it on console anyway, I never use my PSP. There's no reason to.
MGS: Peace Walker might be a reason? I dunno, lacking a PSP I just hope Konami goes the Silent Hill Origins way and port it to the PS2.

I am aware of that, but I have gone game hunting since that post. There are about 10 other games that interest me, then there are the movies. Worth about $100, in my opinion.
I think so too, I just bought a 3000 with an 8GB memory card so I could both download games and play UMDs. I love the system, mostly because of the odd games on it like WTF, Badman, and Prinny, the puzzle games like Crush, Hot Shots Golf (I've been obsessed with the series since the PS1), the exclusive RPGs, and of course MGS: Acid, Portable Ops, and Peace Walker. I was lucky enough to win an extended battery pack too, short battery life being the only downfall to the system in my view.

Not too long of a wait at least, so, no point complaining.

Im looking forward to seeing how the Co-Op feature will work in depth
