Holy shit. That's pretty much the hugest penis extension I've ever seen.

The guy that invented this must be compensating for something MASSIVE.

theres also a version that hunts for dope ( http://www.geekologie.com/2009/05/weed_copter_spots_the_pot_aler.php ) they should stick them together to make a super robot.

That's one development that really snuck up on me, though considering that the technologies needed to design such a robot are all available, it makes sense that they would try to make this.

still, did they HAVE to name it something that sounds alot like ARSE??!!

I wish I could think this is cool, but seeing how it's kind of expensive and antiproductive, I can't see it as anything more than a large large waste of money. And I'm still trying to pay for a plane trip. That'd go to better use.
Well, as the article says: what do you want, to bomb a certain building where a target is, or send this puppy in and shoot him with that? Heck fit him with a .50 and heat vision, and he can even shoot through the walls. It sure beats bombing, wich means collateral damage a lot of times.

I can already tell that this thing might be a pain in the ARSS.
HAWWWW HAWWW HAWWWWW

Sorry I just had to do that.
This goes for all the ARSE jokes:

yeah but cmon they arnt ever gona replace people in warzones, yes this is a good idea on paper but it just wont work in combat and also surely the target is going to be able to hear the 'sniper' aproaching wheras with a human he could just stay hidden XD

Yeah, this just gives me a bad feeling... either because it'll turn out to be incredibly dangerous or incredibly stupid... or both.

This is the U.S Army we're talking about, after all.

Can it be fitted with a huge speaker to play The ride of the Valkyries? Or, alternatively, to shout profanities after each kill?
ARSS : Lol, fag! Boom! Headshot! Noob! Pwnd!

what strikes me is that only the US is developing these weapons. Have you ever heard Russia or China or any other country say:
"Hay guys we got this cool new weapon..wanna check it out?"
while everybody else is hiding their war potential the US always shows off.....in my mind thats just a way of letting your potential enemies what to expect and prepare for it.
unless they actually made Arnold Terminators and are hiding them in a underground vault n just messsing with the world in giving us these teasers and when the war breaks out theyll show us the finger :D

In any event the 7 shots in a min is impresive. But i dont get how this works....

looks great, and since it just flies, you don't need to waste time maneuvering

only concern is how much more this costs than an actual sniper

EDIT its not very stealthy either, and can literal be "heard" comming while a human can just hide.
