The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is pretty strict in enacting their laws that conform to Islam and if you don't follow it you could either be deported if you're lucky, life imprisonment if they hate you or the death penalty if they really really hate you.

But being too handsome is apparently a crime now is KSA?

Well take Omar Borkan Al Gala

a UAE actor and photographer and based on this blog [http://skydancingblog.com/tag/omar-borkan-al-gala/] he was the evicted with his two companions from a festival when a singer from the UAE named Aryam appeared during the festival.
exert from site:
"In the conservative kingdom of Saudi, women are strictly prohibited from socializing with unrelated men.

Meanwhile, Aryam said she was invited to the annual Abu Dhabi festival as a visitor to the national pavilion.

Al Gala and his companions were then expelled from the festival after Saudi authorities explaining that "they are too handsome and that the Commission members feared female visitors could fall for them."

I hear weird news from time to time and it usually involves Japan but this one takes the cake although this isn't surprising considering they also have a law that states that all Saudi women that have alluring eyes must were sun glasses in order for men that isn't their husbands to be attracted to them and commit adultery.

Really.
But then again this is Saudi Arabia so this is kinda expected.
So what do you think my fellow escapists?

Damn, he is a looker.

But yeah, doesn't sound too out of character for Saudi Arabia. Though I think this is the first I've heard of men being discriminated against for "looking too good" by Islamic standards. I've mostly just heard of things like this happening to women.

Can't wait for the wave of "Ridiculously Photogenic Saudi" memes.

But seriously, I'm lauging now, despite this being a serious matter...discriminating against people based on their looks, what the hell? I mean, okay, we're all guilty of that on the personal level, I suppose, but on the personal level it's more like, we disciminate against people who don't look good enough mostly.

But on a legislative level, what the hell? Well, there's only one reasonable solution, make men wear burquas too! Of course, there's the outrageous solution of "why don't you just work that stick out of your collective butts, Saudis", but why'd they want to do that.

Oh gosh. He really is handsome, isn't he?

Very strange and hilarious incident, will they start doing it to anyone who is remotely good-looking, make themselves the ugly country?

Wow... That is a HANDSOME man!

Saudi Arabia can just go fuck themselves. It makes me sick how they are allowed to deport/imprison/kill people just because they don't conform to their ideals. Or that they can just force ridiculous laws onto their people under harsh penalties, effectively eliminating any form of free choice.

Still, with that tangent out of the way, it's definitely Saudi Arabia's loss on this one. All the more beard Omar Borkan Al Gala for us!

... I makes you sick that what? Really , any country will deport/imprison ( not so much kill ) people that don't conforme to their ideals . It's called laws . People get imprisoned and deported all the time . Just because you don't agree with their laws , doesn't mean they aren't allowed to have their own laws not matter how silly YOU or anyone else not involved in their country think they are .

People don't all agree on every law from every place around the world , but those are the laws of that country and must be abided buy , or they will be reprocussions .

OT : before i saw this thread i was 100% heterosexual . After i saw this thread i'm 98% heterosexual . Good lord are some people lucky . Hell i wouldn't want my girlfriend anywhere near this man! ( okay , no that's not true , i'm more open than that , BUT DAMN ).

He is quite dashing, isn't he?

Still, this is of course ridiculous. I find it hilarious that Saudi has now reached the point where they are so misogynist, they are discriminating against men by discriminating against women.

Discriminaception?

OT: None were more surprised than me to find out the man in question is actually really quite handsome.

But really, this is Saudi Arabia we're talking about. They don't even let women drive cars. They treat women as if they have no self control or agency. Are we remotely surprised it ended up the way it did?

I tend to like more effeminate men, without facial hair and the like. But in this case my sexuality is being a bit screwy and I won't lie, I find the guy a bit attractive.

This is kind of sad. But aside from being sad, is it so sad I find it kind of hilarious. I mean, this is a news article right out of the Onion. I cannot help but be humored.

It ain't easy bein' a sexy beast.

I'll join the bandwagon, by saying that he indeed a ridiculously good looking men.

Now on to the news. It's stupid that such a thing occurred, but at least he can console himself by making this into something to brag about.
How many people after all can say "I was kicked out of a country for being too handsome"?

I'm fighting between the reality of how utterly stupid it was to evict them and acknowledging the possibility that their fear "female visitors could fall for them" was completely legit. Seriously, just look at that guy.

Well...I guess we should all thank Saudi Arabia for creating a new meme. Ridiculously Photogenic Arabian.

Seriously though, that dude is really handsome. I know I would feel jealous if he came to my party. SA's actions are completely understandable. Scumbag-ish, but understandable.

I could have sworn I had my heterosexuality in my hands before I came to this thread. If anyone finds it rolling around (the wonderful contours of that mans beautiful face) please return it to me.
But seriously, damn.

This is both hilarious and slightly disturbing. Hilarious well, I mean come on! Banning someone for being too good looking? Thats silly!

On the other hand it is slightly disturbing because they were banned for being too good looking and because they have so little faith in their women that they;d rather get rid of these men then let the obviously weak willed and weak minded women possibly fall for the guys and, idunno, commit adultery or something.

Not that I was expecting much else but, meh.

Still, damn.

Pfft, I better never go to Saudi Arabia then, all hell would break loose.

Looking at that picture, I have lost all self control and I must sleep with him. This is definitely what happens. The logic is irrefutable.

Translation: "Come on, man! You could pick up women anywhere, you're ruining everyone else's chances!"

Seriously, though, someone needs to give that guy a good suit immediately. Maybe a tailcoat.
