Ubisoft Confirms New Prince of Persia
Prince of Persia [http://www.ubi.com] franchise will be coming near the end of 2008.
Few details have been released about the work in progress, currently in development for the Prince of Persia: Sands of Time [http://www.playstation.com] trilogy. The new game will be the first Prince of Persia title developed specifically for next-generation consoles.
A new Prince of Persia game is also being designed specifically for the Nintendo DS [http://www.nintendo.com/ds]. The handheld game will feature an all-new story and characters, but no other details have been released.
Speculation about a new Prince of Persia release began last week [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/83431], when it was revealed that Ubisoft had registered the domain "princeofpersiaprodigy.com," followed two weeks later by the trademark registration of "Prince of Persia Prodigy" by original Prince of Persia creator Jordan Mechner. Early details of the game and images of the Prince's new look will be released in mid-May.
