I sure as hell aren't. I cant afford to shell out £300 on a new console. I'd rather stick with the old ones for a while longer.
I feel the same way. I miss the time when devs/publishers at least pretended to care about their customers. Now they just do whatever they want, and then when people complain, they say "Shut the hell up. You don't matter, because there's a whole herd of idiots who will buy our shitty games/products anyway."canadamus_prime said:I'm not hungry for the next generation, in fact I've spend most of this one pinning for the days of the last one. Mostly because that was the last time it seemed that Publishers, Developers and the Industry in general had a soul. Apparently I'm in the minority though so that doesn't seem to be worth much.
Forgot about the crash junctions, had lots of fun with loads. Maybe they could make that as a digital download game they could make for a sell for cheap on xboxlive/psn? Best thing i loved about it was my baby brother could play it and do really well.GonzoGamer said:It depends on what they're going to do with the power.
I was looking forward to the current gen when it started. One of the things I was looking forward to most was Burnout crash junctions with more cars and bigger explosions. Then Burnout Paradise came out and it didn't even have crash junctions.
The hilarious thing is that all of the self-proclaimed 'PC gamers' in this thread are saying the opposite. They don't seem to realize that with new console hardware, the standard of what a game can do would likely skyrocket considering how horrifically outdated the PS3 and Xbox 360 are in hardware terms.JokerboyJordan said:But then the glorious PC gaming master race are like "No! The filthy consoles are holding us back!", and therefore they want shinier graphics and everything to be more expensive, just so they can justify their OTT gaming rigs.
I think Lord British said it best on a podcast I heard a little while ago.PoolCleaningRobot said:I know I'm ready for new consoles are the are a lot people out there who don't over think the video game industry are ready for new consoles. A lot of users of this website are sticks in the mud waiting for an industry crash that probaly won't happen
