The title of this should be "Ubisoft is still full of tools."

Honestly, the kinect may have a few good games and those may just have a wii port too. Apparently "must-have" is synonymous with "useless" now.

Even if the Kinect sells well doesn't mean that third party games would necessary be bought that much.

I'm not exactly sure but hasn't the Wii sold better than the PS3 and the Xbox 360? But yet, when it comes to third party games being sold, I think Wii is doing worse than either of the latter.

Yes, I'm aware that legions of Apple fans who will buy anything shiny as long as it's made by Apple bought one. Hardly makes it a must have brand, though. I wonder how sales are doing now that all the Apple horde has one and nobody else wants one... Funny how Apple never mentions that.

iPad adoption rate fastest ever, passing DVD player.

Haters gonna hate. People here love to hate on Apple for illogical/irrational reasons.

You folks are aware that the iPad sold 3 million units in two and a half months, right? That's a remarkably successful hardware launch.
The problem with that number is that when I put things into perspective, 3 million is a drop in the bucket, most likely less.

When you add up all the people in world that could possibly afford it, which would probably be close to a billion. 3 million is a very insignificant number.

Then you have to factor in all the people that were already familiar with or like Apple products. I look at the number and think, "Hmm, they just sold 3 million units to people that are most likely already customers."

I have never really liked the looks, usability, and programming of Apple/Mac products. I had a run in with a Mac laptop and I will never touch one again. When it comes to technology (Not having money right away for something), I'm a patient person. Why get some ridiculously over priced Apple product, when sometime in the very near future, PC companies will create something similar that is just as good or better, costs less, and will work with my other devices without having to by extra software or other products?

--------

On the Kinect, I will wait to see what comes out after all the sports and exercises stuff. I have a Wii, and it was okay, but not great. I got my Xbox 360 almost 2 years ago, and now my Wii is sitting in the corner collecting dust. The problem is I really don't have the money to keep buying games for both consoles. I got my 360 because all my friends had one and I felt left out, since I got my 360 it has been a blast of fun. When I just had my Wii, I laughed at people talking about achievements. Now with my 360, I can't imagine going back to playing games without achievements, they actually make me play games longer and enjoy them more.

Back on the Kinect, people are complaining about how having just motion sensing with no controller will be imprecise, well I say I want them to test this stuff out and get better at it. The Kinect is a small step closer to us getting to have holodecks.

I would vote for a merging of the minds, the Kinect team with the Nintendo 3DS team. I want me a holodeck. I'll give you at most 15 years to do it folks, get to work. Though by that time I will be 40 years old. Not that being 40 is a bad thing, it is just that I am 25 and I'm already feeling the effects of getting older. Okay scientists and doctors, create a real anti-aging drug, you have 3 years.

I think it just what people feel is easiest for them to use and fits with their lives.

I consider most anything that is not Apple/Mac, is just more user friendly. All the times I have had to interact with Apple/Mac products, they are as easy to use and get use too, as it is easy to try and play basketball with a boulder that is bigger than the hoop I'm trying to put it through. Their stuff is just so oddly set up and made, it is like they let monkeys design their products. It could possibly be that they just make their stuff that way so that they are different compared to the competition. Problem is, the competition knows what the majority of people like, and what is easy to use.

...aren't all the games you can play on it either things you could just do in real life, or some kind of strange combat/sports game? Plus the whole only two player thing. I guess I should look more into the titles of the system but it just seems so limited.
I don't mind the 'two player only' thing. My living room will be able to support two people standing next to each other and moving around, but I don't have room for 4. As for 'isn't this stuff you could just do in real life', well a lot of games are like that. Sports games, hunting games, guitar-hero style music games, even some military games! The point is being able to do them in your living room with your friends, and not having to go out and learn to do them.
