Ubisoft Wants to Give You Beyond Good & Evil's Soundtrack

Good news, everyone! Ubisoft's giving away its wonderful music from Beyond Good & Evil to anyone who wants it.

If you've been playing the recently released HD version of Beyond Good & Evil (or played the game when it was originally released), then you've probably noticed that the game features one of the best soundtracks around. It's got a ton of different styles that fit the game's various environments and levels, is generally pretty fun to listen to, and Ubisoft is now offered the album to the public for free.

I've actually had the soundtrack on my iPod since the game first came out in 2003, and I still listen to some of its tracks. There's really not much else to say other than you can't lose with this deal, so you might as well check it out.

You can download the soundtrack directly from Ubisoft here.

Ah, so I'm not the only one who scoured the forums for the music ripping software back in the days! :) Glad I'm not the only one who has it on their MP3 player from release day.

I know you can follow to the source, but it's ridiculous that the link isn't in the Escapist article itself, the words "check it out" should link to the download page.

The second one is in a weird state. It's being developed timidly, but Ubisoft has all but stated they will be taking the market performance of the HD release of the first game into consideration before officially announcing BG&E2.

Funny how you totally omitted that you also invented a machine that makes people read news posts with professor Farnsworth's voice! But wait seriously? Totally awesome. I must get this now!

I downloaded it immediately and it's superb. I just wish I could figure out how to get the 13th M-disk in BG&E HD- the web service thing wasn't working for me at all. I did get all of the achievements though. TBH, the HD version sort of disappointed me because it still has an irritating amount of loading times, an occasionally frustrating camera (I mean the point of view, not the ingame camera), and few minor-but noticeable graphical glitches (several times I had the camera zoomed in on animals they just spontaneously disappeared).

All of that said, it's still one of my favorite games of all time. I like how they made the water look more reflective, more like it did in the GC version and not the XBOX/PC/PS2 version.
